Eric Dane was a no-show for television's biggest night.
Five months after sharing his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis, the Grey's Anatomy alum was set to serve as a presenter for the 2025 Emmys. However, the 52-year-old didn't arrive at the Sept. 14 award show, and his former costar Jesse Williams presented solo at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, Eric—who shares kids Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13, with Rebecca Gayheart—opened up about his health battle, noting he was "grateful to have" his family by his side as they navigated this next chapter.
The actor—who will return to Euphoria’s third season as Nate Jacobs' dad Cal Jacobs—also shared that in addition to his well-being, his focus would remain on his upcoming projects.
“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working," he told People in April, referring to the HBO Max series, "and am looking forward to returning."
It’s a sentiment that Eric has expressed in the months since, affirming his desire to continue working as long as his health allows.
"I'm going to ride this till the wheels fall off,” Eric told E! News in June alongside his Countdown costar Jensen Ackles, adding of their Amazon MGM Studios series, "It keeps me sharp. It keeps me moving forward, which is super important right now."
"I feel great when I'm at work," Eric—who recently detailed the heartbreaking effects that ALS has had on his body—continued. "Of course, there have been some sort of setbacks, but I feel pretty good. My spirit is always pretty buoyant, so at the end of the day, that's all that matters."
