A$AP Rocky has got kids on the brain.
The “Sundress” singer shared an update on his and Rihanna sons RZA, 3, and Riot Rose, 2, noting that while their sons are allowed to listen to their parents music, they don’t quite understand that their mom—who is pregnant with baby no. 3—and dad are famous.
"They don’t request their parents’ music," A$AP told GQ in an interview published Sept. 22. “They can’t even develop the concept of having famous parents at this moment.”
As the 36-year-old added, RZA and Riot “don’t have a consciousness of self at the moment” and are still developing.
“Whenever they’re ready, they can listen to my music,” he continued. “I need them to know Dad is a rockstar, Mommy’s a rockstar.”
Instead, the two are more into “childish, musical, kiddie kind of sounds.” And while they don’t necessarily “understand stuff that” their dad is doing right now, A$AP is confident that in “a year or two, they’ll be up in my business.”
He added, “Right now, they’re kind of too young to understand that.”
And the “Praise the Lord” singer couldn’t help but gush about life as a dad, sharing, “I got nothing but love to give to these little ones. And as you can see, that’s what occupies a lot of my heart capacity, is my family.”
Plus, he and Rihanna, 37, are ready for their new baby and have been amazed at how different “this experience and this pregnancy has been” compared to their first two.
“Nothing’s ever the same,” A$AP mused. “Each experience is always just different in its own right.”
And while the duo have not shared if they’ll be welcoming a boy or a girl—although many fans are guessing they’re having a girl—he did joke that either way, the baby will be named after his Highest 2 Lowest costar Denzel Washington.
“Denzel, no matter what,” he quipped. “The first female come out named Denzel, it’s lit. We got it figured out.”
And just in case they don’t happen to name this kid Denzel, as A$AP previously shared, he and the “Diamonds” singer are hoping to further expand their family.
"We're going to be like the Wayans family, you know?" he joked with Entertainment Tonight in June. "I mean, love is beautiful, and it's just spreading it."
