Emilie Kiser wants to mark her love for her kids forever.
Four months after the influencer and her husband Brady Kiser tragically lost their 3-year-old son Trigg, who accidentally drowned in the family pool, the pair unveiled the tattoos they got as an ode to their other son, 6-month-old Theodore, whom they call “Teddy.”
In a Sept. 23 TikTok video, tattoo artist Sydney Smith showcased the “matching teddy bear tattoos” she inked on Emilie and Brady’s forearms, paired with audio that said, “Nevertheless, as if they knew how much they would need each other, Milo and Otis became best friends,” which is a quote from the movie The Adventures of Milo and Otis about the friendship between a cat and a pug.
The new body art—featuring a stuffed animal teddy bear—adds to the collection of tattoos Emilie has on her arm. In addition to a cowboy hat and lowercase letter B, the 26-year-old has the name of her late son Trigg written in script lettering right next to her new ink.
While Emilie initially stayed away from social media in the time immediately following Triggs' death, she recently shared a message expressing her gratitude for the support she has received from her online community following the tragic accident.
“I have been truly blown away by the love, comfort, and support,” the TikToker wrote on her Sept. 23 Instagram Story. “I appreciate so many of you sharing your similar experiences and your own stories of how you have dealt with grief and loss.”
“The internet can be such a dark place,” she continued, “and in moments like this, I am reminded how much good there can be in the support and community that we can all give each other.”
And in that spirit, Emilie offered herself as a resource to her millions of followers.
“If anyone who follows me or reads this is dealing with loss, I just want to say that I am here for you,” she added, “and I hope you are getting the love and support you need.”
