Keanu Reeves may not be married, but he’s still madly in love.
After the Matrix star's spokesperson denied reports that he and Alexandra Grant quietly tied the knot, his longtime girlfriend poked fun at the online speculation as she proved their relationship remains firmly intact.
In a post on Instagram Sept. 24, the couple—who debuted their relationship publicly in 2019—shared a tender kiss on the steps at the Roden Crater art installation in Flagstaff, Ariz., after Keanu, 61, interviewed its designer James Turrell for his Roku docuseries Visionaries.
“This is a real photo,” Alexandra, 52, wrote alongside the pic. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement... simply a kiss!”
And while the artist may not be a blushing bride, she thanked fans for their warm wishes nonetheless—before warning them not to believe everything they read.
“I'm sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married,” she continued. “Good news is much needed these days, but it's still fake news, so be careful out there!”
Two days prior, Keanu’s publicist addressed social media speculation that the pair had exchanged vows in a private ceremony, telling E! News in a statement, “It is not true. They are not married.”
Despite largely keeping their relationship out of the public eye, Alexandra has spoken candidly about the qualities that draw her to the John Wick actor.
“He's such an inspiration to me,” she told People in September 2023. “He’s so creative, he’s so kind. He works so hard.”
As for what makes their bond so special, Alexandra credited their shared ability to take on new challenges side by side.
“What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we're pushing each other to build new roads,” she continued. “Seeing the other person’s problem-solving is inspiring, like, ‘This one, that's a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?’”

The John Wick star and the artist went on to collaborate on two books together, 2011's Ode to Happiness and the 2016 series Shadows. The pair also co-founded the publisher X Artists' Books in 2017.
