Watch: Jacob Elordi Reveals What Kind of Dad He Wants to Be

Jacob Elordi is feeling euphoric about his future.

And that future includes raising kids. The Euphoria star shared why he "very much so" wants to grow his family when the time is right.

"My whole dream is to facilitate a childhood like the one that I had," Jacob told WSJ. Magazine in an interview published Sept. 30. "It would just make me the happiest person in the world."

After all, the 28-year-old—recently sparking reconciliation rumors with ex Olivia Jade at the TIFF premiere of his movie Frankenstein —has the best role models in mom Melissa Elordi and dad John Elordi.

"She's an angel," Jacob gushed of the matriarch. "She's the greatest person I've ever met."

He emphasized, "Her sole purpose in life—self-appointed—is being a mother."

Meanwhile, his dad is a grounding force in their home, with the Priscilla actor describing him as "quieter than life," "inspirational" and "a legend."

For Jacob, who loved sports and acting, his deep bond with his parents gave him much-needed confidence as he grew up.

"Playing rugby made my dad proud," he explained to GQ in August 2022. "Being in the theater made my mom proud. So if I could play to both sides of how I was raised, then how could I lose? And that sounds like a hindsight thing, but I knew it at the time."

"I still carry it now. I hope that's what the performance is in Euphoria," he continued. "It's muscle and heart. It's Montgomery Clift and Marlon Brando."

While John has been proud of Jacob's meteoric rise, as his dad, he remains cautiously optimistic about his son's career.

"Jacob always had this very strong self-belief, but of course as parents you try and be pragmatic and we were very pragmatic," John shared with The Daily Mail in March 2022. "He always knew what he wanted to be. And as his father, there was a time I said to him, 'Mate, acting is a one-in-a-million kind of situation.'"

It didn't slow the Wuthering Heights star down, with John recalling Jacob replying, "Well, why can't that one be me? Why can't I be that one in a million?"

"That's how confidently he looked at things. So as a parent, we just decided to back him to the hilt and trust that he knew what he was doing," he concluded. "I know what a hard worker Jake is so if he keeps doing that, which I know he will, then he will achieve whatever he puts his mind to."
