You will marvel at Brie Larson's vacation style.

The Oscar winner shared a glimpse into her recent trip to Tulum, Mexico, just ahead of her 36th birthday. In two photos, Brie is seen wearing a bright red and orange striped balconette-style bikini, paired with a straw cowboy hat and sunglasses, while paddleboarding in a lake.

Captioning her Sept. 29 Instagram post, "an unparalleled escape," the Captain Marvel star also shared a pic of herself snorkeling, an image of fish and turtles swimming in crystal clear water and an elegant table setting at the luxury beach resort Hotel Esencia.

In recent years, Brie has grown comfortable showing more of herself on social media, especially after learning how to train for Captain Marvel.

"I didn't know what strength was," she told reporters in 2018. "I was truly an introvert with asthma before this film, so I had a lot of work to do, and I just started to fall in love with it. I started to fall in love with the way my body was changing and transforming."

"It was the first time where I felt like I was making my body work for me," she continued. "I think in the past, I was more interested in my body never being part of conversation. To me, it felt like objectification; I just wanted to be a brain, so I've only cared about reading books and understanding words, and anything that involved my body made me itchy. But this was an opportunity for me to...make my body mine."

Indeed, Brie has been open about her body image struggles.

"I don't believe that there is a beauty standard," she told W magazine in an interview posted in November 2020. "I struggled with feeling ugly and like an outcast for so much of my life. And so I really, really feel for that. It took me a long time to be able to be totally comfortable with myself. The thing that has brought me solace is knowing that I can be whoever I want to be with myself."

She continued, "What breaks my heart is to think of people in the world who don’t feel that they have safety within their own bodies. That, to me, is my ultimate goal in life: to do whatever it is that I can so people have the freedom to express themselves and be exactly who it is that they want to be—whatever that is—knowing that that can also change."
