Alec Baldwin wants Hilaria Baldwin to keep her dancing shoes on.
After his wife, and her professional partner Gleb Savchenko, became the fourth couple voted off Dancing With the Stars’ 34th season, the 30 Rock alum shared a sweet tribute in her honor.
“I want to say I love you, Hilaria, and I'm proud of you,” Alec said in an Oct. 9 Instagram. “It's been wonderful for the family to be able to support you as you support us every day. This has been such a large part of your life, and this is a dream come true for you.”
The actor—who shares Carmen, 11, Rafael, 10 Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2, with his wife of 13 years, as well as daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, with ex Kim Basinger—concluded with a loving message to Hilaria.
“So congratulations and never stop dancing," Alec advised. "Never stop dancing, Hilaria. I love you so.”
For her part, Hilaria had an emotional reaction to her Oct. 7 elimination.
"We're OK," she told E! News in a joint interview with Gleb after their elimination. "I mean, we're not great, but we're okay at the same time. It's mixed."
It was when she brought up her kids that Hilaria grew tearful.
"The first night we got here to LA ... I said to my daughter, because I'm so open with my kids, 'What happens if I get voted off right away?'" she said. "She said, 'Mommy, at least you tried.' And I hope they always know that: At least I tried."
Gleb, meanwhile, emphasized how much Hilaria had accomplished in her four-week tenure on the season.
"You tried your best, I'm so proud of you," he told her. "And I'm so grateful for an opportunity to be able to dance with you, because I felt like I was transformed back to my competition times. I've never danced a samba that level ever on Dancing With the Stars or on tour."
"We made people feel what we felt at that moment," the pro dancer continued, "and it was so real, so authentic, and you're a real, true superhero in the studio, on the floor and at home you're an amazing mom to your incredible seven kids."
Hilaria and Gleb were voted out of the ABC competition series during the season’s Oct. 7 episode, becoming the fourth couple eliminated after Lauren Jauregui and her partner Brandon Armstrong, Corey Feldman and his partner Jenna Johnson as well as Baron Davis and his partner Britt Stewart.
Lauren and Brandon’s elimination, in particular, came as a shock to the judges, contestants and fans alike.
After the news was announced, Lauren summed her surprise with one word, saying she was, “Pissed.”
However, the Fifth Harmony alum had many more words for her partner, Brandon.
“Honestly, I’m so grateful to have had you as a partner,” she said to as they shared a hug. “Thank you so much.”
