Kylie Jenner is dusting off her teal crown.
After all, “King Kylie” is returning to the throne. Over a decade after the Khy founder debuted her vibrant alter ego, she announced that she’s re-launching some of her signature Kylie Cosmetics products from that era.
“This King Kylie Collection is truly for you!!!” Kylie, 29, wrote on her Oct. 12 Instagram post, which sees her posed in blue-black glitter and her matching crown. “You’re the reason my biggest cosmetic dreams came true, and I wouldn’t be here 10 years later! without your support.”
Though the beauty mogul—who shares kids Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, with ex Travis Scott—has always had a soft spot for that teal-hued time period, she wasn’t the only muse behind this upcoming launch. In fact, Kylie shared that her fans’ “messages asking for a King Kylie collection,” a nod to “the fearless era that had a dream at just 17 years old,” encouraged her to revive her iconic persona.
“I wanted to give you exactly what you’ve been waiting for,” she continued. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being on this journey with me. I hope this collection makes you as happy as you’ve made me. King Kylie Collection launches October 18.”
Indeed, this launch is a nostalgic nod to Kylie Cosmetics’ debut in 2015. (At the time, the Kardashians star revealed she created the brand after years of working on her “perfect pout.”) In the new collection, she brought back her metallic lip glosses, her King Kylie eyeshadow palette, and fittingly, her popular lip kits in four shades.
Kylie—who’s now dating Timothee Chalamet—first teased this collection on Oct. 11, when she posted several comments from fans gushing over the brand’s original grungy aesthetic in 2022. She then reintroduced her alter ego to the world a day later, releasing a sultry video of her strutting into the police station.
Her full glam was an undeniable reminder of her King Kylie style, from her fuller brows and fierce contour to her streak of teal blue hair—one of the vibrant hair colors she wore during that era.
And while Kylie’s excited to go back to her blue roots, her daughter isn’t the biggest fan of her memorable look. Indeed, Stormi shared her stunned reaction to her mom’s colorful hairstyle in June.
“Did you dye your hair in that photo?” Stormi asked in a video posted to TikTok that month, to which Kylie replied, “No it was a wig. Mommy used to love wearing wigs, colored wigs.”
Humming in disapproval, Stormi hilariously shot back, “A blue wig with a red outfit? It’s not a good combo.”
