Jennifer Lopez knows where she came from, and she’s not interested in going back.
While reflecting on her previous relationships, the “Jenny From the Block” singer revealed that she doesn’t tend to check up on her past partners.
“Once I’m done, you’re dead to me,” Jennifer joked with a laugh on The Howard Stern Show Oct. 15, per People, “I’m going to get in trouble!”
Acknowledging that this was her first interview with the titular shock jock, the 56-year-old added to Howard Stern, “This is why I never wanted to come on here. I’ll get in trouble.”
But that didn’t stop Jennifer from getting candid about her past relationships, which includes ex-husbands Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony—with whom she shares 17-year-old twins Emme and Max—and Ben Affleck, as well as ex fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
“I don’t hold on, to be honest,” she explained. “Not dead to me, but definitely, it’s over, I’m going to move on.”
When it comes to her love life now, the Grammy nominee knows it’s hard to date someone as famous as she is and “be under that microscope.”
“I live my life very out loud,” she said, “even though I’m in the public eye. And I wanted to share my life with someone. I want someone to be there to share my big important moments on the red carpet.”
And though she and Ben did split in 2024, the pair reunited on the red carpet at the Oct. 6 New York City screening of her new film Kiss of the Spider Woman—which the Oscar winner produced. And Ben had nothing but praise for his ex wife.
“Jennifer is incredible in this movie,” he gushed to E! News. “She's fabulous. And it's an enormously difficult—it's all these masters, so it's not edited in such a way where you can make a little mistake here and there in the dance. It’s singing and dancing and acting and also trying to hold together these multiple tones in the movie. That's just probably the maximum level of difficulty for a performer.”
The 53-year-old added, “She pulls it off with grace and aplomb and she's wonderful. I love her performance in the movie. She's amazing, spectacular, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.”
As for Jennifer, she was also very complimentary of her ex, telling Craig Melvin on the Oct. 6 episode of Today, “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made. And I will always give him that credit.”
