Kim Kardashian isn’t afraid to admit her missteps.
The Kardashians star didn’t flinch when asked to name a moment in her career that she should’ve been “canceled” for but wasn’t, admitting that she now sees a 2010 collaboration with Justin Bieber in a different light.
“I don't know who approved this, and I don't know who thought that this was normal, this narrative,” she told Alex Cooper on the Oct. 15 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast. “But I did a photoshoot with Justin Bieber, and he was 16 years old. And I don't know how old I was.”
Kim, who was 29 at the time, teamed up with Justin for an Elle magazine spread featuring various suggestive setups, including one where she watched over the “Somebody to Love” singer, now 31, while donning lingerie and another where they frolicked on the beach together.
The 44-year-old went on to compare the shoot to the 1967 rom-com The Graduate, in which a young college graduate (Dustin Hoffman) is seduced by an older woman (Anne Bancroft). However, she insisted nothing inappropriate took place, noting that Justin’s parents and then-girlfriend Selena Gomez were also present on set.
“Nothing ever weird was obviously happening,” Kim emphasized. “I just think that was an odd concept, and why none of us thought that that was odd at the time. But now we look back and I'm like, ‘That would have not been the most appropriate thing.’”
The SKIMS founder added, “He's a good, dear friend of ours and the whole family, but who thought that that was a good idea?”
While the reality star’s perception of the photoshoot has changed, she pointed out that she has no other regrets about her life in the public eye.
“I've never really done anything to be cancelled,” she said. “I stand by everything that I… I've never said anything crazy. I've never done anything crazy.”

Did Kim Kardashian and Travis Barker Ever Hook Up?
Despite rumors that have plagued the pair in recent years, no, Travis Barker—who is married to Kourtney Kardashian—and Kim Kardashian's friendship in the early aughts never took a turn for the romantic.
“That really sucks that that has gone on,” she said of the rumor on Call Her Daddy. “But he dated Paris [Hilton] and we were all friends, and we’d all hang out and when I was with Paris, we’d be on the road and go to their tour in Amsterdam. So, I have been friends with him, but never in that way. And never hooked up with him.”
Kim Kardashian Pleads the Fifth About Her History With Tom Brady
When CHD host Alex Cooper posed a theoretical round of “F--k, Marry, Kill” between Kim’s exes—both confirmed and alleged—Pete Davidson, Kris Humphries and Tom Brady, Kim opted to forego the question. As she said, “I’ll get in way too much trouble there.”
And when Alex circled back around to clarify what exactly went down between Kim and the former New England Patriots quarterback, Kim said, “I’m not going to answer that. It’s like, he’s—”
Only for her to be saved by the bell—or should we say a call from sister Kylie Jenner.
The Craziest Place Kim Kardashian Has Had Sex
“Probably a movie theater,” she revealed, though she doesn’t say who she was with. “Yeah, so fun.”
How Kim Kardashian Feels About the “Kardashian Curse”
When it comes to whether the Kardashian-Jenner women truly have the power to place a hex on their ex-partners, causing their lives to take a turn for the worse post breakup, the SKIMS founder denied any sort of magic touch.
“I always really hated that, I really did,” Kim said. “I think it's really unfair to say that women are the problem when it comes to issues that our exes might be dealing with and that they had those issues before.”
In fact, if anything, she thinks there might be a Kardashian-Jenner blessing. “If you want to talk about the positive, I mean, my mom was with a gold medal Olympian,” she said, referring to Caitlyn Jenner. “When Khloe [Kardashian] was with Lamar [Odom], there was championships being won with the Lakers. I was dating a football player and he won the Super Bowl—there was really positive, amazing things that happened.”
And no, the football player in question is not Tom, but likely Kim’s boyfriend Reggie Bush, who won the Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints in 2010.
What Led to Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West’s Divorce?
There wasn’t a singular moment Kim can point as the catalyst to her and Kanye "Ye" West’s divorce, instead pointing to a gradual build up amid his mental health struggles.
"There was just a lot of things that I wouldn't deal with," she explained. "I didn't like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids' grandmother, aunts—all of those feelings. If someone feels that way, then we shouldn't be together."
In addition to citing seemingly erratic behavior such as buying and subsequently giving away five Lamborghinis, Kim shared how Ye’s mental health challenges began to impact her own.
"I didn't know what you're going to get when you wake up and that's a really unsettling feeling," she explained, adding that the "lack of stability was a big thing."
What Is Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West’s Co-Parenting Dynamic Like?
Though she quipped, “What do you think co-parenting with Kanye West is like,” Kim shared an honest update on how she and the rapper are navigating taking care of their children North West, 12, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 6.
Adding that it’s “not easy,” Kim confirmed the kids live with her full time and that she is raising them, but that she welcomes “a great healthy relationship” between her kids and their dad.
“And I think he knows that,” she added. “I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it's time for that. And it goes in waves and phases. It’s a lot of work.”
But coming from a place where she has the “best memories and best relationship” with her dad Rob Kardashian Sr., Kim noted, “So, I welcome healthy relationships, but it's not easy.”
How Often Does Kanye West See His and Kim Kardashian’s Children?
“Whenever he’ll call for them and ask,” Kim said, before conceding, “It’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him.”
As for how the mom explains Ye’s absence to her children, she explained, “They always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that. He lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place. So, we manage it really well.”
She added of her four children, “They love like their life and their routine and their schedule. And I think just their job as their mom is just to make sure that they stick to their routine and they're healthy and happy.”
Kim also expressed frustration over the narrative that she keeps her kids from the “Gold Digger” rapper, saying, “I’ve never once done that.”
As she put it, “It’s not a kidnapping, it’s a divorce.”
Is Kim Kardashian Dating Anyone?
“I am single,” she confirmed. “And I feel totally, totally content. I've been single for a while.”
Adding that this is the longest she’s been without a partner, Kim shared instead where she’s putting her focus in her single era.
“I have my kids to raise,” she said. “I have a life that requires a lot of my attention, and my kids just really need me right now. So, I’m there 24/7, you know? I don't know how I would fit something else in. I'm just not looking, and it would have to be like someone super special.”
As she put it, “I've had all my fun, I've had all my phases. Now I just have to be with my babies.”
But while Kim is content with the single life, she admitted North is more than happy for her to start something new with someone.
“North had to say to me, ‘Mom, I think you go upstairs and like at night, like it's OK,’” she recalled her oldest saying. “Like, ‘It’s time to move on. You need to have a boyfriend now.’”
