Kylie Jenner is keeping up with one of her viral looks.
Indeed, the Kardashians star reflected on the criticism she received for wearing a rather unconventional dress to Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber’s wedding in 2018.
“I think people were a little upset that I went all out,” Kylie, 28, said during the Oct. 22 episode of Vogue’s Life in Looks series, “but [Hailey and Justin] didn’t care, I don’t think? Hailey, call me if you have an issue.”
At the ceremony, the Kylie Cosmetics founder—who shares kids Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, with ex Travis Scott—turned heads in a melted gold gown from J’Aton Couture. While the color was already a bold choice, she turned the ensemble into a statement with two nature-inspired accessories: a crystal butterfly-shaped hair pin and a matching purse.
Though a stunning look, several fans on X believed her dress was too distracting to wear as a guest at the time.
“I can’t believe Kylie Jenner wore that gold painted tin foil dress to Justin’s wedding,” one user commented, while another noted that if their guest pulled “a move like this at my wedding, they will kindly be escorted out with a red wine stain down the front of their dress.”
Although Kylie—who’s dating Timothée Chalamet—admitted she wouldn't repeat the fashion choice, she doesn't have any regrets.
“I think I had the impression that people were going to go all out,” she continued in the Vogue segment. “I loved this look. I had one of the best nights. I was the last one to leave the wedding.”
And while the Khy founder wouldn’t give this dress a second spin, she recently revived her nostalgic alter ego: 2015’s King Kylie. To honor that era—and the 10-year anniversary of Kylie Cosmetics—she re-launched some of her signature beauty products from the brand’s first launch, including her signature lip kits.
“This King Kylie Collection is truly for you!!!” Kylie, 29, wrote on her Oct. 12 Instagram post. “You’re the reason my biggest cosmetic dreams came true, and I wouldn’t be here 10 years later! without your support.”
