There’s no 30 Rock-iness in Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin’s household.
After all, the couple dedicated their own touching tributes to Ireland Baldwin—whom The Departed star shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger—on her 30th birthday.
“Happy birthday @irelandirelandireland,” Hilaria, 41, wrote on her Oct. 23 Instagram post. “How lucky we are that we have you and how in awe I always am at your wisdom, strength, resilience. You are funny, smart, the best mama, sister, friend, [and] daughter. I cherish our relationship.”
Indeed, the Dancing With the Stars alum—also mom to seven children with Alec—offered a sweet look into their bond, posting a selfie of them smiling together. Hilaria also showed Ireland in mom mode, including several photos of the model and her partner RAC (born André Allen Anjos) playing with their 2-year-old daughter Holland.
“You are so supportive and a true light in all of our lives,” she continued in her post. “We love you so very much and it was so meaningful to celebrate with you today.”
Alec echoed his wife of 13 years’ sentiment in his own Instagram note, simply writing, “Happy birthday to my Ireland.”
The duo’s supportive words come shortly after Ireland revealed the freeing gift she gave herself ahead of her birthday: she cut ties with certain members of her extended family.
“I move into 30 with a lot less weight on my shoulders,” the Grudge Match alum wrote in her Substack post titled “30, Flirty and Surviving” on Oct. 20. “This weight that was brought on by the need to continue to carry my narcissistic, unreliable, addict family members who I thought I needed in my life.”
While she didn’t reveal who she exiled from her life, Ireland hinted that she’s been sitting with this decision for quite some time. Reflecting on her “lonely childhood” following her parents’ split in 2001, she explained that she felt the need to “win over” certain relatives’ approval.
However, Ireland abandoned that habit once she started to focus on her relationship with her daughter.
“Nothing was more freeing than finally realizing how poisonous these people are,” she continued. “So, I inch into my thirties with an understanding that this is how you break these cycles.”

Alexander Rae Baldwin III—the Emmy-winning actor known as Alec Baldwin—was born April 3, 1958, to Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. and Carol Newcomb. He's the second of six siblings and the oldest brother.

Mama Baldwin
Their father died at the age of 55 in 1983 but Carol—who survived a 1991 breast cancer diagnosis—lived until she was 92. She passed away May 26, 2022, with 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and an eponymous cancer research foundation to her name.
“My mother taught me about second acts. And third ones, too," Alec wrote in tribute when she died. "She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and a champion for the cause to which she devoted so much energy."
