Demi Moore shared why she believes her rehearsals with A Few Good Men costar Tom Cruise when she was eight months pregnant were so "awkward."

Demi Moore knows that being a mom in Hollywood can be risky business.

And as the actress looked back at her time preparing for 1992's A Few Good Men, she reflected on the rehearsals with costar Tom Cruise while she was eight months pregnant and how they were less than comfortable for the Mission: Impossible star. 

"I think Tom was quite embarrassed," Demi—who was expecting her and now-ex-husband Bruce Willis' daughter Scout Willis, 34—recalled during a Q&A at the New Yorker Festival Oct. 25, per People. "I actually felt OK about it. I was moving around, though, right? But I could tell he felt that it was a bit awkward."

The Substance star—who also shares daughters Rumer Willis, 37, and Tallulah Willis, 31, with the Die Hard actor—posited that Tom may have been uncomfortable because there weren't many working moms in the spotlight at the time. Demi, however, was determined to find a balance between motherhood and her career.

"It's one of the many things, for me, that I just felt didn't make sense," she explained. "I challenged that to say, you know, 'Why not? Why can't you have both?' But with that, I think, came a lot of pressure I put on myself to, in a sense, prove that it was possible." 

E! News has reached out to Tom's reps for comment and has not yet heard back.

As Demi prepared to star in the Aaron Sorkin-directed project—in which her U.S. Navy attorney character tries to solve the murder of a Marine—she pushed herself to her limits. 

"I look back at that time now, and I go, 'What the f--k was I thinking?'" the St. Elmo's Fire alum admitted. "What was I even trying to prove? But it wasn't as supported as it is today, to be breastfeeding and then blocking and rehearsing a scene."

In fact, despite being pregnant, Demi was determined to do whatever it took to get ready for the camera.

"I was going to be in a military uniform, and probably overly-anticipated and started working out and trying to get in shape even before she was born," she revealed. "I did a two-and-a-half-hour hike the day my water broke. I did a 24-mile bike ride, and then was dancing at a reggae club—hence why she came two-and-a-half weeks early."

Over the years, however, Demi's thoughts on her space in Hollywood began to evolve. And as she took the stage to accept her first-ever Golden Globe for The Substance earlier this year, she shared insight into the weight of being a woman in the film industry.

"In those moments when we don't think we're smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough," Demi emphasized, "I had a woman say to me, 'Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'"

Beauty is pain, but Kim Kardashian might be able to stomach it.

Telling The New York Times the lengths she would go to for a more youthful appearance, the reality star cracked that she was willing to try just about anything.

"If you told me that I literally had to eat poop every single day and I would look younger, I might," she said in June. "I just might."

In a July 2022 interview with Allure, Kim said she was "kind of joking" about the comment, though the idea didn't seem too terrible.

"But now that I think about it," Kim added, "I would probably eat s--t if someone told me, ‘If you eat this bowl of poop every single day, you'll look younger.'"
