Leni Klum took a page out of a book for Halloween.
Whereas her mom opted for the creepy with her Medusa look, Heidi Klum's eldest delivered a sweet, eye-catching costume at her mom's annual Halloween bash on Oct. 31, dressing up as Camilla Cream from the 1998 children's book A Bad Case of the Stripes.
For the costume, Leni painted her body in rainbow-colored stripes, wearing a white tank top and shorts set which she styled with a black, curly bob wig and pink bow. She also carried a copy of the David Shannon book.
After the event, Leni shared a small glimpse of the preparation for the costume, which saw the 21-year-old being painted by makeup artists. She captioned the Nov. 1 post, "I can't go out, I'm sick."
For Leni, dazzling at her mom's party has been a highlight of her year. After all, it's only her fourth time showing out for the event.
"I've been begging my mom for years to come here and I'm literally so excited that I can go inside," Leni, then 18, told E! News in 2022. "I'm excited to party and to dance. I want to see her in person."
Since making her debut as Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman from 1992's Batman Returns, she has continued to turn heads in her ensembles. She arrived at the 2023 soirée—where Heidi dressed as a peacock and her husband Tom Kaulitz was an egg—as a scantily-clad Strawberry Shortcake.
For last year's event, Leni channeled her mom's theme with her out-of-this-world alien costume, complete with a metallic bodysuit and skin-colored antennas. Meanwhile, the America's Got Talent judge and Tom were ready to phone home as the male and female versions of E.T. from the titular 1982 film.
As for how Heidi—who also shares kids Henry, 19, Johan, 18, and Lou, 16, with ex-husband Seal—brought the nostalgic characters to life?
"It took one year to get ready," she explained to E! at the time. "We started at 10 a.m. this morning. We just got ready, we just came down."
While she loved bringing the wrinkly alien to life, it wasn't easy being in the suit.
"It was so heavy holding that head on my head because it goes from the back to the front," she explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in August. "I thought my neck was going to snap off."
But Heidi, 52, has no regrets about the work it takes for her costumes. After all, her love for Halloween goes back decades.
"When I moved to America, I immediately fell in love with Halloween and the spookiness of it," she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. "All that was missing was a fantastic party. It felt like a real opportunity for me.
And she hopes that her elaborate looks as the host will inspire her guests to follow suit.
"It's worked because, over the years, people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes," she added. "The party has become almost legendary. It's epic. I feel like my love for Halloween has made other people fall in love with the holiday, too."
