You have to be wide awake to catch Katy Perry’s soft launch with Justin Trudeau.
After the “Roar” singer and former Canadian Prime Minister stepped out together on multiple occasions since this summer, Katy subtly included him in her latest Instagram post—though blink and you’ll miss it.
In honor of her 41st birthday on Oct. 25, Katy shared a photo carousel from her festivities, which included a night out in a sultry red dress—complete with a high slit, which she styled with black heels—a game of Monopoly Go with a side of wine and a celebratory birthday cake backstage at her Lifetimes Tour.
And it’s in the cake video—which sees Katy blowing out the candles before trying to launch the cake at a crew member—that Justin can be seen clapping and smiling briefly in the background.
She captioned the Oct. 29 post, alongside a heart and lip-biting emoji, “Level 41.”
It was also during her birthday festivities that Katy and Justin made their first official public appearance together, holding hands as they exited a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris on Oct. 25. It was there that Katy donned her red dress, Justin opting for a simple black suit and t-shirt at her side, as seen in photos published by TMZ.
Weeks earlier—prior to their hand-holding excursion—the couple sparked additional romance rumors when they were seen getting cozy on Katy’s yacht. In photos published by The Daily Mail Oct. 11, a bathing suit-clad Katy wrapped her arms around a shirtless Justin, kissing in one photo while Justin cradled Katy’s backside in another.
And just two days after the photos went viral, Katy—who shares daughter Daisy Dove, 5, with her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom—subtly addressed her burgeoning romance onstage at her Lifetimes Tour.
“London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?” she said during her Oct. 13 performance in the capital. “No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
She then quipped, “But not anymore.”
As for where Orlando feels about his ex’s relationship with Justin—dad to Xavier Trudeau, 17, Ella-Grace Trudeau, 16, and Hadrien Trudeau, 11, with ex-wife Sophie Grégoir Trudeau—the Pirates of the Caribbean alum previously made light of the situation.
After a satirical post suggested Orlando—also dad to son Flynn, 14, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr—had dined with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he commented a series of applause emojis.
