Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen took their New York minute to the stage.
The Row co-founders made a rare public appearance while accepting the American Accessory Designer of the Year award at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City Nov. 3.
"To our individual buyers, you have been our guiding light for the past 20 years now," Mary-Kate said onstage as Ashley held the gold statuette beside her twin. "To our amazing customers who truly give us the opportunity to do what we love, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you."
The 39-year-old—who established the luxury fashion label with Ashley in 2006—also highlighted their loved ones as their biggest champions.
"Without your support, we would not be here today," Mary-Kate concluded. "Thank you for giving us the love and kindness that allows us to show up to work each day."
For the award show, Mary-Kate and Ashley matched in chic black blazers, Ashley adding a unique touch to her look in the form of a chunky statement necklace.
Over the years, the Full House alums have mostly remained out of the spotlight, opting instead to focus on building their brand privately. However, they have made rare appearances, with their most recent prior to the CFDA Fashion Awards occurring during New York Fashion Week in September.
The pair stunned at W Magazine's cocktail party with Mary-Kate attending in an oversized white shirt and black pants while Ashley wore dark-wash jeans and a black long coat. This time, the duo added a fun pop of color to their subtle looks with bold, patterned scarves.
After all, while Mary-Kate and Ashley first found success as actresses, fashion has long been their true passion.
"I don't know how conscious we were of what we were doing at that time, to be really honest," Ashley explained to I-D in 2021. "We had just moved to New York. We were 18 years old and I think what we did know was that we wanted to take that time to take a break from what we were previously doing and to explore things that interested us, and explore what life has to offer."
But they weren't interested in being the face of their brand, either.
"We didn't want to be in front of it, we didn't necessarily even want to let people know it was us," she admitted. "It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don't have to?"
And for nearly two decades, the Passport to Paris alums have established their presence in the fashion world from behind the curtain.
"I think we're very much perfectionists and hard workers and we've always been hard workers," Mary-Kate added. "I think the reason that we do fashion is to constantly try to fix our imperfections, and you always have next season to do that."
"It's also our job to find every imperfection in there to make sure that we're constantly pushing ourselves and training our eyes and making sure everyone is served," she continued. "Just evolving and learning."
