Meghan Markle’s love for Prince Harry is strong as ever.
Indeed, the Duchess of Sussex shared insight into their seven-year marriage, including how the Duke of Sussex has become her safe space.
“He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t,” Meghan, 44, told Harper’s Bazaar in an interview published Nov. 19. “No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.”
True to her words, Harry, 40—who shares Archie Harrison, 6, and Lilibet “Lili” Diana, 4, with the Suits alum—has supportively stood by her side over the years. In fact, he was his wife’s biggest cheerleader when she relaunched her As Ever lifestyle brand, originally known as American Riviera Orchard, earlier this summer.
Though Meghan appreciates her husband’s passion, she loves how he’s influenced her to approach life—both as a businesswoman and a mother—even more.
“You have someone who just has this childlike wonder and playfulness,” she continued of his personality. “I was so drawn to that, and he brought that out in me. That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative.”
And now, Meghan is teaching her daughter about the vibrant side of being an entrepreneur. Since she mostly “works from home,” the Archetypes host revealed that Lilibet “comes and sits on my lap when I’m in the middle of the meeting, whether it’s about P and L for my brand or it’s about something creative.”
As Meghan noted, she knows this is a big luxury.
“I’m a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new," she added. "I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day. I can give myself the same grace as a founder. There’s no such thing as perfect.”
And as her little ones continue to find their own personal interests, Meghan also doesn’t want them to be afraid of making mistakes.
“I hope they see the value of being brave,” she confessed. “I think you are a little bit more fearless. As we get older, we lose some of that.”
