Robert Irwin and Witney Carson have formed a friendship far greater than just being dance partners.

Witney, who has been a pro dancer on Dancing With the Stars since 2014, shared a touching handwritten note that the wildlife conservationist wrote her ahead of the Nov. 25 finale.

"I admire your courage as you balance a truly impressive work-load while being a fantastic mum, and your determination and kindness even under huge pressure is inspiring," read his note posted to her Instagram Story. "You have taught me lessons that I'll take with me for the rest of my life. I feel blessed to know the Carson / Mc Allister's."

The 21-year-old recognized that while they would no longer be working together, they will be in each other's lives forever.

"While it is coming to an end, you've got me in your corner forever. We Irwin's tend to stick around!" he continued. "Sorry bud, I'm hard to get rid of."

He concluded his message, "Always remember, when in doubt—send it.”

Witney shared her appreciation for the letter and bouquet of roses Robert sent her, writing in the Story post, "In case you need another reason to love Robert Irwin."

And emotions were certainly running high, with Witney and Robert—who suffered a rib injury during their final week of rehearsals—also posting an emotional video about their journey coming to an end.

"Witney, this is it," Robert said to his dance partner in a video on his Instagram Story. "I'm not ready for it to be over, I can't believe this is it."

He continued to say to the ballroom dancer, "Thank you so much for the greatest experience of my whole life, it has been amazing."

Witney returned the sentiment, chiming in, "Thank you for everything, this has been so special, so memorable."

The pair soaked up their last moments together before taking the stage for the last time.

"It feels so weird, here we are and we're about to do the final dress rehearsal," Robert shared. "Love you guys, we'll see you soon."

Robert is one of the five stars left in the competition to win the Mirrorball, competing against Alix EarleDylan EfronJordan Chiles and Elaine Hendrix.

However, he's long been a front-runner. Prior to the August season premiere, Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy shared that they believed the son of Steve Irwin and sister of former winner Bindi Irwin could be the one who makes it to the end.

"There's something about positivity and energy, and his is contagious," Jenna told E! News in August. "It just is. And they're such a great family. So I'm just excited to watch his journey. He is going to be an incredible personality on our show."

Val added his take on the Australian joining the show, too, sharing, "I think it's obvious when there's a frontrunner pre-season."
