Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson are cooking up a great romance—but marriage isn’t part of the recipe.

The Food Network star sparked speculation that he had proposed to the Top Chef winner when he posted a photo of her slipping her hand into her jeans pocket with a diamond ring on that finger, but now he's clearing up the true meaning of the sparkler.

"It’s a commitment ring," Bobby told Elvis Duran during the Nov. 24 episode of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show while sitting next to daughter Sophie, 29, who he shares with ex Kate Connelly. "I’m not engaged."

“We both don’t want to get married again," he went on. "It’s great having a life partner, and so I wanted to give her something significant to make her feel committed. That’s all."

After Elvis pointed out that Bobby has "a beautiful, beautiful family," the Beat Bobby Flay star shared his hopes of creating a blended family with Brooke and her son Hudson, who she shares with ex-husband Nick Roberts.

"Yes, I do, but Brooke also has a 17-year-old son," he explained. "It’s all coming together like The Brady Bunch."

Previously, Brooke had downplayed the significance of the ring, saying there wasn't "a huge story" behind it while calling her boyfriend a "very generous, wonderful, romantic man."

"It was a really thoughtful gift,” she told People in October, “and that's what it is."

The couple, who confirmed their romance back in May while promoting season six of their show BBQ Brawl, haven’t been shy about expressing their admiration for one another.

"I love working with Brooke," Bobby told People in June. "We have a lot in common. We're very lucky. We're both chefs. We both have kids. We're both parents."

"We are both in the restaurant business," the 60-year-old added. "We have tons to talk about in terms of the things that we love to do besides just go and have dinner every once in a while. So it's been really great."

They can handle the heat in and out of the kitchen, too.

"One of the things I really like about being in a relationship with Brooke is that she's great to bounce things off of," he said. "We ask each other's opinion about things that we're doing food wise or restaurant wise or business wise, all the time. So it's really nice to have kind of a best friend that you're dating that can also be helpful answering the questions that you have."
