Tony Germano, Netflix Star, Dead at 55 After Rooftop Fall

Brazilian actor Tony Germano, who had a prolific 30-year career in voice acting with projects like Netflix's Go, Dog, Go!, as well as in the theater, died after a fall from his roof. He was 55.

The Netflix family is mourning one of their own.

Brazilian actor Tony Germano, who was best known for lending his voice to projects like the Netflix series Go, Dog, Go!, died from a fatal fall, his rep confirmed to People. He was 55.

"It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26,” the rep said in a statement to the outlet published Nov. 28. “Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries.”

The rep added, “We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt."

They shared that a service for him took place at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista on Nov. 27 with a burial to follow soon.

Germano's death occurred at his parents’ home in São Paulo as he was in the midst of renovations on the property, according to a Nov. 26 report by Folha de Sao Paulo, translated from Portuguese. He fell off the roof of the house while supervising the redo.

In addition to his work for Netflix, Germano was also known for Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Disney’s Elena of Avalor and The Muppets, as well as the live-action Beauty and the Beast (2017). He most recently appeared in Labyrinth of Lost Boys (2025) and 2023’s An Unforgettable Year: Autumn

Germano also had a prolific career in the theater, playing roles in The Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon and Something Rotten!. Earlier this year, he detailed how honored he was by every role he’d had the pleasure of taking on. 

“As always it's good to remember,” he wrote on Instagram July 3, translated from Portuguese, alongside a video highlighting his years in the spotlight. “Just a little of all that I've done in my 30 plus year career.”
