Watch: Amy Schumer Addresses Speculation About Marriage to Chris Fischer

Amy Schumer is hoping for the best.

Amid speculation over her marriage to Chris Fischer, the comedian addressed where she and her husband of seven years stand.

“Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris,” Amy—who has been candid about her husband’s autism diagnosis—wrote in a Dec. 1 Instagram message, “has nothing to do with weight loss or autism.”

The Trainwreck star—who is mom to 6-year-old son Gene with Chris—added, “Fingers crossed we make it through he’s the best.”

Amy’s comments about her marriage come after fans noticed she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring in recent posts to Instagram, spurring online speculation.

But while the 44-year-old kept the statement about her relationship to a minimum, she was more candid in sharing information about her recent weight loss.

“I never wear jewelry," Amy wrote in the same post. "I didn’t lose 30lbs I lost 50. Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has cleared.”

In addition to addressing her Cushing Syndrome—which Amy first revealed in 2024—the Kinda Pregnant star also addressed some of the reactions to her transformation.

“Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost weight,” she wrote. “I’ve had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro.”

She added that she is “pain free” and now able to play tag with her son Gene. “Happy to share more,” she concluded, “if anyone has any questions about how I’m looking or how I’m feeling.”

After Amy first shared a look at her slimmer figure on Instagram Nov. 11, she also deleted all her previous posts to the social platform—not, she said, because she felt any shame of how she looked in her past.

"I didn’t delete my old photos because they were pre me losing weight," she wrote on Instagram the next day. "That’s a narrative you created. I’m proud of how I’ve looked always."

As for what sparked the change up to her grid?

"Your Instagram is not your identity, it’s a curation of what you want the world to see," she explained, "and I feel great strong and beautiful and it’s been fun sharing that."

Plus, her social media still has room for sweet family moments. In fact, in one of her recent posts, Gene can be seen crashing her photo shoot.

As Amy captioned the Nov. 30 post, “Trying to go to the party but someone won’t go to bed.”
