The heart is once more calling for Lori Loughlin.
The Full House alum will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton on the upcoming 14th season of When Calls the Heart set to air in 2027, Hallmark Channel confirmed.
"Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Hallmark Media's Head of Programming Michelle Vicary told Deadline in a statement Dec. 2. “At its core the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that Season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series."
The announcement comes six years after Lori was written out of the show during its sixth season amid the college admissions scandal, which ultimately resulted in her serving two months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.
At the time, When Calls The Heart went on a so-called "creative hiatus" to figure out how to move forward without its star after writing out Abigail as having gone missing.
"We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations," Crown Media Family Networks said in a statement in March 2019. "We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third-party production."
Lori's return to the series comes amid her separation from her husband of 27 years Mossimo Giannulli, with whom she shares daughters Bella Rose Giannulli, 27, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26. (Mossimo also served time in jail following the scandal.)
The actress' rep confirmed to E! News Oct. 2 that "they are living apart," also sharing that they're "taking a break from their marriage," with the rep noting to People, “There are no legal proceedings at this time."
A few weeks later, the couple sold their Los Angeles mansion for $14.9 million, multiple outlets reported in October, citing property records.
