Court is back in session for Leah Lewis.
Nearly two months after news surfaced that her costar David Del Rio was fired from their legal drama Matlock following a sexual assault allegation, according to multiple outlets, the actress returned to the set of the CBS drama to continue filming season two.
In a photo shared to her Instagram Story Dec. 1, Leah dressed as her character Sarah Franklin in a brown blouse and tie while standing beside a trailer. In the caption, she tagged the show and wrote, “And we back up and running.”
Though Leah has not publicly spoken directly about the alleged sexual assault allegation, she shared a personal update shortly after David’s firing from the Kathy Bates-led series in October.
“Mom is here,” she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time alongside a photo of her mom Lorraine Lewis. “We’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands. Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care.”
“Truly, we’re moving forward in strength,” the Elemental actress continued. “Key word, strength. Please let that be the takeaway.”
Following Leah’s update, David’s wife Katherine Del Rio seemingly mocked her husband’s former costar with her own personal update.
“Mom is here,” Katherine wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a picture of herself with her mom, viewed by Deadline before it was deleted. She also called out Leah by name, adding, “We’re moving forward in love and strength after what Leah did to our family. Thank you all for the love and support!”
In a separate, short-lived Instagram Story viewed by multiple outlets, Katherine wrote alongside a zoomed in picture of Leah, “This is the most disturbing human being I’ve ever met.”
E! News previously reached out to CBS and reps for David regarding his exit, as well as reps for Leah and Katherine, but did not hear back.
