Jessica Simpson is sharing what the holiday season really means to her.
Indeed, the “With You” singer offered a look at her holiday prep with her and estranged husband Eric Johnson’s three kids Maxwell, 13, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 6. The trio helped their mom kick off the holiday season with a rare photoshoot.
“Christmas time is here!,” the 45-year-old captioned the Dec. 4 Instagram photo of Ace, Birdie and Max striking a pose in front of Christmas décor. “What the month of December brings to my kiddos has always been about the genuine feelings of love, excitement, hope, happiness, grace and pure JOY!”
She added, “Wishin’ you and yours all the many blessings this month has to offer y’all’s hearts.”
Jessica’s kids put their personalities on display as Ace and Max rested their arms on Birdie’s head, while she flashed a sweet smile. The latest Simpson-Johnson family photo comes a week after she shared how her family marked the Thanksgiving holiday.
In fact, though she announced her split from Eric in January following 10 years of marriage, the “Irresistible” singer noted there was a seat at the table for him at her mother’s home.
“It’s my kids’ father,” Jessica said in an interview published by TMZ Nov. 28. “Family first.”
“No matter what, your kid is half the other person,” she explained. “Always have respect in what you say around [your kids] so they can always have a good perspective on it.”
Jessica added, “Unconditional love is important.”
The All’s Fair actress and the retired NFL pro have practiced what they preach as they were side-by-side in September to celebrate
Ashlee Simpson’s Las Vegas residency.
“We are all a big, happy family, so it's important for all of us,” Jessica told E! News in September. “We wouldn't have missed Ashlee, are you kidding me? It was such a moment.”
