Becky G is ready to share her side of the story.
Two years after fiancé Sebastian Lletget apologized amid allegations he cheated on her, the "Mayores" hitmaker opened up about the scandal for the first time.
"I was 19 and Sebastian was 23 when we first met," Becky recalled in her new documentary Rebecca, per People. "Definitely not looking for it, and I will say it was different for both of us."
The couple wound up getting engaged in December 2022 after six years together, only for rumors to begin swirling four moths later that Sebastian had cheated on Becky. For the artist, the public scrutiny was tough to navigate.
"This is when I have a really hard time with the concept of, 'This is what you signed up for,'" she said in the doc. "I did not sign up for this. I feel like behind closed doors is my experience."
The 28-year-old added it was "hard to feel safe" discussing the scandal after already having been through "so much pain."
"The hardest part is my silence was confused for weakness," Becky shared. "There’s no words that would make it better…only actions."
While the "Shower" singer didn't outright confirm her and Sebastian's current relationship status, the film ended with a man who appeared to be the soccer star being shown from the back as she reflected on who she wanted to keep around her.
"I also believe that the people who are meant to be in your life aren’t the ones who leave, aren’t the ones who stay," she said, "They’re the ones who grow with you."
"Surrender," Becky added. "We have to. We will never be the same again. And I think that’s the point."
Sebastian, 33, had previously apologized publicly to Becky after the cheating allegations first emerged.
"Over the last several weeks, during a moment I regret deeply, a 10-minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot," he posted to Instagram in March 2023. "Since this person did not get what they wanted, it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person I should never take for granted or put at risk."

I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve."
