The music world has lost a bright light.

Camryn Magness, a singer who once toured with One Direction, has died, her loved ones confirmed in an emotional tribute. She was 26.

“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Camryn, a radiant force whose voice, coy, and bright spirit touched so many,” the Dec. 10 post shared to Camryn's Facebook account read. “Whether beneath the waves or on stage, she met life with fearless energy and boundless kindness. In the quiet between waves, her memory will surface—bright, bold, unforgotten. Rest in endless blue, our sweet girl. You are deeply loved and forever cherished.”

Though her loved ones didn’t share details on Camryn’s passing, multiple outlets reported she was struck while riding an electric scooter, on Dec. 5.

“Please keep her family and friends in prayer as they navigate this difficult time,” the statement continued. “Camryn will live on in our hearts forever.”

An online obituary for Camryn—which described her as vibrant, fearless and deeply loved—also spoke to the musical legacy she is leaving behind.

“A gifted performer, Camryn's voice and music were extensions of her soul,” the obituary read. "Whether she was on a stage, at a family gathering, or sharing a song with someone who needed it, Camryn's music was a reflection of her heart, her courage, and her endless creativity.”

Camyrn’s obituary also spoke about her love for fiancé Christian Name, adding, “Together they were building dreams for a future filled with joy, partnership, and possibility; not only for themselves, but most importantly, for their fiercely loved dogs, Brooklyn and Zeppelin.”

The late singer’s music career kicked off when she was just 8-years-old when she recorded a demo and sent it to her future manager Jeff Pringle

It was her YouTube channel, created in 2010, that truly launched her career. Within two years, Camryn was asked to join One Direction for their Up All Night Tour, only to join them again a year later for their Take Me Home tour. Throughout her career, Camryn also toured with Cody Simpson and Fifth Harmony.

Camyrn previously spoke about the positive reactions she received from fans of One Direction as a music newcomer.

"Going into the tour, I was an unknown artist,” she recalled to Teen Vogue in 2012. "It's a great feeling to be walking around and someone coming up to me and saying, 'Hey, you did so well!' It was really exciting for me when that happened for the first time.”

As she told CBS News later that same year, “At the end of it all, it went amazing."

After all, she was born to sing.

"I've been singing ever since I can remember,” she added to the outlet. "But it wasn't until I was about seven when I entered my first talent show. Just singing in front of everybody, it was terrifying, but I knew it was something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life.”
