Currently, the mystery behind rapper EsDeeKid’s identity reigns supreme.
Fans of Timothée Chalamet, however, think the musician—who covers his face save for his eyes while performing—bears a striking resemblance to the Marty Supreme actor.
“I got no comment on that,” he said of the speculation during a Dec. 11 appearance on Britain’s Heart Breakfast radio show. “No, I mean—I got no comment.”
And when the coy response prompted show hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden to raise their eyebrows, Timothée said he had “two words” on the matter, before struggling to come up with those two words.
“All will be revealed in due time,” he finally continued, before conceding, “That was a little more than two words.”
But while Timothée is hesitant about revealing too much info on his potential secret identity, true fans will know of his history as Lil Timmy Tim for a middle school project (which later went viral amid his rise to fame).
“Let me tell you, Lil Timmy does not have the same ring to it,” he joked to Jamie and Amanda. “Lil Timmy sounds like something else.”
Another topic Lil Timmy remained tight-lipped about during his on-air appearance? His Christmas gift plans for girlfriend Kylie Jenner. Though he confirmed his tree was up, he admitted his gift buying wasn’t done.
“She will see,” he shared of her potential present. “It’ll be good.”
In fact, the 29-year-old hoped to do some of his shopping while in London, where he was promoting Marty Supreme, which premieres Christmas Day.
In addition to revealing his plans to visit a favorite chocolate store, Timothée added, “I was hoping to find some local goods for friends and family.”
Though Timothée and Kylie both keep the particulars of their romance quiet, the pair put their chemistry on display for the Call Me By Your Name star’s movie premiere in Los Angeles Dec. 8.
Arriving to the event in coordinating, signature Marty Supreme-orange looks, the beauty mogul and actor were all smiles as they held each other close on the carpet.
For Timothée, the movie about a table tennis star’s astronomic rise feels akin to his own Hollywood journey.
“This is the most who I was that I’ve had to play a role,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Oct. 7. “This is who I was before I had a career. Some people are fortunate enough to stumble into their success or be passive about their pursuit of whatever they want to do in life. That wasn’t it for me. For me, it was putting in the 10,000 hours.”
