Gracie Abrams just wants to be close to Paul Mescal.
Indeed, the private couple stepped out for a rare date night following the 2026 Golden Globes on Jan. 11, where his film Hamnet earned two awards. (See the full list here.)
While Gracie didn’t attend the ceremony itself, she and Paul met up after the show, holding hands as they arrived at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Coordinating their looks, Gracie wore a shiny black one-shoulder dress while the Gladiator II star donned a classic black suit as they strolled into the venue to keep the party going.
After all, there was much to celebrate: Not only was Paul’s performance in Hamnet nominated for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor-Motion Picture, but his costar Jessie Buckley won Best Performance by a Female Actor-Motion Picture while the film itself earned Best Picture-Drama.
Which is why, despite his and Gracie’s tendency to keep their relationship out of the public eye, the pair couldn’t help but celebrate with a public night out—marking a rare occasion in which the pair have shared a glimpse of their relationship since they hard launched their romance over the summer.
In June, Gracie—who is the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath—shared a video of her sitting on Paul’s shoulders while they sing along to Olivia Rodrigo’s set at the Glastonbury Music Festival.
Indeed, despite sharing the sweet PDA, the pair have remained mum on the details of their romance, with the Normal People star previously sharing why they choose to keep it out of the spotlight.
“Everything to do with that is deeply precious to me,” Paul told Rolling Stone of their courtship in an interview published Sept. 15. “I want to protect those things fundamentally.”
The “I Love You, I’m Sorry” singer has also touched on the “rumors” surrounding her relationship status with Paul, telling Nylon in a December 2024 interview, “That has nothing to do with me. It doesn’t affect me.”
