If you want to say out loud that the '90s wasn't an amazing decade, you'd better not be saying that in front of a '90s kid. They will attack you with the force of a million Tamagotchis. Don't laugh; all those tiny plastic coming at your head will probably hurt.

Look, people who grew up in the '90s or were born in the '90s or had any kind of experience living large in the '90s can relate to the fact that we are all very nostalgic for that time of our life. It was a simpler time. The Duggars weren't a thing yet. Cell phones were either a luxury, nonexistent or so big and indestructible that we wonder why they don't make them like that anymore. So while people born after the '90s probably rolled their eyes when they saw #Inthe90sIThought trending high on Twitter, those who miss that decade had a damn field day.

And we also realized how wonderfully naive we were back then. We used to believe Saved by the Bell accurately summed up high school, choker necklaces were so on point and that soft drinks should always be clear. Bless the hashtag, because so many wonderful '90s kids came forward to reveal what that decade was about for us, and it was a glorious time to be on Twitter:

What did you believe back in the '90s? If you would have told us back then that we would be writing an article that would live on the Internet based on a hashtag that trended on Twitter, we would probably say: "OK, nana. Time to take your meds and get you back to the home."
