Alexei Hay/EWLaverne Cox makes one stunning Lady Liberty!
The 31-year-old Orange Is the New Black star is covering the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
The gorgeous actress flaunts lots of cleavage while posing in a plunging green dress paired with a green liberty crown for the mag's special LGBT issue. Cox proudly shared the cover on her Instagram with the caption, "Thanks @EntertainmentWeekly for the awesome cover story featuring yours truly. #LGBTissue #TransIsBeautiful #OITNB #OITNBSeason3."
Truly stunning!
Inside the issue, Cox reacts to the phenomenon surrounding Caitlyn Jenner's transition.
"This is why I'm so grateful that I had the luxury of transitioning in private," she says. "Because when you transition in the public eye, the transition becomes the story. I'm always disturbed when I see conversations about trans people that focus on surgery. But I believe Caitlyn will transcend this moment."
Cox also gushes about her excitement to watch the entire new season of OITNB when it comes out on Netflix tomorrow. "I don't like the term ‘binging' because it seems to suggest something that's excessive and out of control, I prefer the term ‘marathoning.' So this summer I'm so excited about the third season of Orange Is the New Black. So the day that it comes out I'll be watching it," she dished.
