Glory Johnson is clearing up a few rumors and opening up about her heartbreak.

Less than a week after fellow WNBA star Brittney Griner spoke with ESPN about her decision to file an annulment to end the estranged couple's short-lived marriage, the 24-year-old Colorado native, who is currently expecting her first child with Griner, shared how she's feeling in wake of their public relationship drama.

"I am truly really saddened by the recent turn of events and was not expecting to have our marriage end so abruptly," she said in a recent interview. "I am ready to begin focusing on my health, pregnancy and am going to remain in Tulsa to continue to build my relationship with the Tulsa Shock organization, and my teammates. I appreciate the support of my fans, family and loved ones and look forward to returning to the basketball court as soon as I can."

Griner and Johnson tied the knot last month, two weeks after the basketball stars were arrested on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after police responded to a domestic dispute at their new home outside of Phoenix. Following their arrest, the athletes were suspended by the WNBA for the first seven games of the season.

"I would like to address the inaccurate statements released surrounding my marriage and pregnancy, so that I can continue, after this statement, to focus on my privacy and allow our lawyers to handle this situation," Johnson, who later added that she got pregnant through IVF with her egg and a sperm donor, said. "At no stage was Brittney pressured to undertake the fertility process. In fact, throughout the entire process, Brittney was a willing participant, consenting and signing all the necessary documents that needed to be signed in order to move forward with the treatments."

Last week, Griner tearfully said in an interview that marrying Johnson was a "huge mistake."

"You know, sometimes you feel pressured into things, and I went along with it," Griner, who filed to annul the marriage one day after Johnson's pregnancy announcement, said. "And I know I shouldn't have. It was a huge mistake. I just knew it was a mistake."

Johnson, however, says it was a mutual decision to tie the knot. "In addition, while we may have both had our reservations, we both willfully and joyfully walked down the aisle together and decided to get married," she said.

Meanwhile, Griner's suspension is currently underway, but Johnson's will not begin until the 2016 because she will not be playing during the 2015 season.
