Facebook rolled out a boatload of new updates, and we've got all the info you need to know. The new features are for Facebook Live, something that was only available to public figures last summer, but later became accessible to everyone. If you're into sharing live videos, you'll be down with these new features. First things first, people watching will be able to use Live Reactions (you know, those smileys they rolled out a while back) to comment on videos. You'll be able to share your opinions using the Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry emoticons in real time. Both the broadcaster and the audience can get a feel for how people are liking (or not liking) the content.
Missed a major broadcast? If you're watching a video that is no longer live, comments will appear just as they popped up when the video was live. Facebook says this will help users feel like they are "in on the action." Agreed!
Watching something you know your BFF would love? Facebook makes it super easy to invite them to watch with you. All you have to do is click on the invite icon and pick your pals. Facebook Live will send them a handy push notification so they'll always be in the loop when it comes to must-see vids. The friends who Facebook together, stay together.
The social site also launched a Facebook Live Map today that will allow you to tune into a broadcast from over 60 freakin' countries around the world. This feature will be available on Facebook's desktop site. If you're more into Facebook mobile, they haven't forgotten about you. Today they rolled out a feature that lets users keep tabs on broadcasts not only from your friends but around the world. You'll also be able to stay in-the-know about the topics and broadcasters that are most important to you.
