Jenny McCarthy Is Now a Brunette and Takes Us Back to Early '00s With New Hairstyle

Jenny McCarthy's new hairstyle is the most early '00s thing to ever happen to 2016.

The 43-year-old TV personality and Sirius XM satellite radio host, who is known for her long platinum blond locks, recently debuted a honey brown hair color adorned with chunky blond highlights and hair extensions.

"Just when everyone starts going blonde for summer @jennymccarthy does the exact opposite," her hairstylist, Julius Michael, wrote on Instagram Wednesday, alongside before and after photos of McCarthy. "Blonde last week Brunette this week."

"Thank you @juliusmichaelsalon and @want_hair for the gorgeous new hair!" McCarthy posted. "Loving the rich chocolate with blonde highlights from @kenraprofessional @brazilianbondbuilder #juliusmichael."

McCarthy had debuted a hot pink hairstyle last year, then went back to blond.

"After I made her #HotBitchPink last summer to #platinumblonde over the winter, I decided to go extreme and make #jennymccarthy a chocolate brown brunette," Michael said.

Several popular female stars had rocked chunky highlights back in the early '00s.

Kelly Clarkson showcased the look when she competed on and won season one of American Idol in 2002.

 Jessica Simpson dabbled in chunky highlights back in 2001.

Christina Aguilera took her chunky highlights to a whole other level in 2002.
