Kate the Great!
Pregnancy didn't slow this duchess down! Kate made multiple charity visits while expecting--even braving the cold to attend a training event with the Scouts and their leaders! She also became the patron of three new charities, and that was in addition to the five she took on in 2012.
Harry's Date Is No Copy-Kate!
Prince Harry reportedly began dating Cressida Bonas in May 2012, but the two weren't photographed together until a mid-February skiing trip in Switzerland. Cressy was quickly dubbed as the anti-Kate by British media thanks to her edgier style (which is still classy, of course, just less classical).
Cressy's Bringing Scrunchies Back
Them other hairties don't know how to act! Prince Harry's love slowly, surely and spectacularly began paving the way for the great scrunchie comeback of 2014. Commoners, you better keep up, because those who start scrunching after the fad fades will make us cringe de la cringe.
Magical Muggles
On April 26, Harry, Kate and Wills got a tour of the Harry Potter and Batman exhibits at the launch of Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England. The duke and duchess also launched the Prince William Scholarships in Film, Television and Games. The scholarships, valued at £10,000 ($15,000) each, will help cover the costs of postgraduate courses in film for U.K. students. Magical, indeed!
What a Peach
Kate spent her and William's second wedding anniversary (April 29) sweetly visiting with kids and families children's hospice center in Winchester, Hampshire. Afterwards, the royal do-gooder spent some quality time with her hubby to celebrate their special day.
There's Something About Harry
In May, the prince returned to the United States for the first time since his infamous Las Vegas trip. This time around, Harry kept things family friendly. He met with fellow soldiers, took a tour of an exhibition staged by one of his mum's favorite charities, and even joined Michelle Obama at the White House for "Joining Forces Mother's Day Tea" to honor America's military moms.
Swedish Love, Marriage and a Baby Carriage!
Princess Madeleine of Sweden married NYC financier Christopher O'Neill on June 8. In September, the royal family announced that the newlyweds were expecting a baby due in February 2014.
She's On a Boat!
On June 13, Kate christened Princess Cruises' newest ship: the 3,600-passenger Royal Princess. The duchess popped a celebratory champagne bottle and took a tour of her godship, looking phenomenal in her Hobbs Dalmatian print dress.
A Cousin En Route!
In early July, Prince William's cousin Zara Phillips confirmed she and hubby Mike Tendall were expecting their first child. The baby, aka Prince Georgie's future cousin, in due in early 2014.
The Royal Baby Arrives!
On July 22, Kate Middleton gave birth to a happy, healthy baby boy! The following day, she and William introduced the future king of Britain to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital.
Prince George the G
The royal baby's full name, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, was announced July 24. Little G's first official portrait was released the following month, only instead of a professional photographer snapping the pic, it was grandpa Middleton behind the camera!
Flower Girl
Actually, that's the bride wearing that whimsical crown! On Aug. 31, Tatiana Santo Domingo married her longtime love, Prince Casiraghi of Monaco, at the prince's palace.
A Royal Retires
The palace announced in September that Prince William, after seven years of military service, would be leaving the Royal Air Force to focus on his royal duties and charity work.
Luxe in Luxembourg
Prince Félix of Luxembourg wed Claire Lademacher in a lovely mid-September ceremony.
Eugenie Enchanted!
In September, Princess Eugenie moved to New York City to begin her job at Paddle8, an online auction house. As you can see, she left her tiara back in the U.K. and had no trouble fitting in with the common Yanks across the pond!
Crib's in the Castle!
In early October, Kate, William and baby George moved in to the newly-renovated Kensington Palace.
God Bless the Prince!
George's christening took place on Oct. 23 at St. James's Palace Chapel Royal. And adorably, Kate and Will's precious boy acted like a little angel throughout the ceremony!

On Dec. 4, Princess Charlene of Monaco inaugurated the province's first ever Starbucks franchise. The former Olympic swimmer hopes to "modernize" Monaco during her reign. Meaning? She wants the tax haven to have Manolo Blahnik, a Ralph Lauren Home Store, Armani and yes, a Starbucks.
Pip Pip Hooray?
Rumors of a Pippa Middleton-Nico Jackson engagement started swirling about in September and resurfaced again in December. There are conflicting reports about Kate's kid sis and her relationship status, but sources seem to agree things are serious between Pippa and Nico.
La Petit Prince of Monaco
Charlotte Casiraghi (whose mother is Princess Caroline of Monaco) and her French boyfriend Gad Elmaleh welcomed a baby boy on Dec. 17.
Baby, It's Cold Outside!
Prince Harry and his Walking With the Wounded teammates finally began their trek across the South Pole in early December. On Dec. 18, a major Antarctic storm caused the teams to pull out earlier than expected, but the redheaded royal emerged on the other side with a glorious ginger beard.
Merry Christmas, Mates!
Four generations of royals gathered for Dec. 25 celebrations at Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham Estate! Prince George had a lovely first holiday with his mum, dad and the whole family! It's great little G is finishing out this year on a high note, but he's got something major to look forward to in 2014, too: A royal tour Down Under!
