Lena Dunham

Canary yellow is always going to be a bold move for a red carpet gown, but our major issue with Lena Dunham's Zac Posen number isn't the color: it's the fit. The top is ill-fitting and it pulls in all the wrong places. Plus, there's just a whole lotta dress.

Zoe Saldana

We give Zoe props for taking a risk in this mixed-medium Prabal Gurung gown. And her body looks truly fabulous. Our issue? There's just too much going on with the off-the-shoulder straps, jewels and sheer paneling. This dress could have benefitted from some editing.

Paula Patton

Paula Patton was clearly going for something bold and structural with this white number, but this look just didn't pan out. We really want to cut off the weird, enormous ruffle growing out of her shoulder.

Aubrey Plaza

The Parks and Recreation star looks more like she's a bridesmaid headed to a wedding than off to the Golden Globes. Plus, the two-toned purple and strapless combo feels just a little dated. More 2000 than 2014.

Berenice Bejo

The French-Argentine actress is a natural beauty, but this is just not the right look for her. The taut updo looks too severe with her gown and makeup. And her bright red dress has way too much detailing at the shoulders. The overall effect? Too overworked.

Kaley Cuoco Sweeting

Kaley wasn't the only celeb at the 2014 Golden Globes to take a misstep in an oversized floral gown, but we have to admit: The drab floral print on this Rani Zakhem number washes the actress out a bit, instead of making her glow.

Tina Fey

Let's start with how much we love Tina Fey. She never fails to make us laugh so hard our sides hurt. But we're not in love with this floral Carolina Herrera number. It's too voluminous from the waist down, and it feels a little too Valentine's Day themed.

Edie Falco

We're doing a double take, again! Edie Falco's red satin Lanvin gown looks a lot like Emma Stone's 2012 Oscars dress and Nicole Kidman's 2007 Oscars gown. But even though crimson is a great color for Edie, the bow is too distracting and the dress hangs on her instead of hugging in the right places.

Megan Mullally

We love Megan Mullally's romance with Nick Offerman, but we're not falling in love with this black number she chose to wear to the 2014 Globes. If she'd just lose the awkward sleeves, it would be a pretty black column dress.

Taylor Schilling

The Orange is the New Black star chose a super bright green column dress, and while we liked where she was going with this, the spaghetti straps and lace neckline just reminds us too much of a nightgown.

Gabourey Sidibe

Gabby was one of many celebs who chose to don a nude metallic gown to the 2014 Globes, but we really wish she went with a different color. We love when she wears bold jewel tones like jade or a deep amethyst. Next time, Gabby!

Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman is a timeless beauty, but this high-necked Versace gown looks a little dated. The long train and swirling design has a dark and gothic appeal, and we would have loved to see Uma in something more fresh and current.

Caitlin Fitzgerald

The Masters of Sex star took a risk in this powder blue confection, but between the high neckline and the long train the result is jus too costumey. Had this look been a bit more modern (ie, a lower neckline), it could have been a hit.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has that beautiful pregnant glow, but her between her red lip, her red pumps and all the red petals covering her Monique Lhuillier dress, the whole look feels a little too Valentine's Day-ish.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra pulls off a side pony and a bright pink lip flawlessly, and we like her Prabal Gurung dress from the top up. But the mix of powder blue and bubblegum pink just feels too girly-girly.
