Red Gowns

From Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Amy Adams, there were so many celebs that chose a red dress, but in our opinion Lupita Nyong'o's Ralph Lauren cape dress won the award for the best red gown of the night.

Red Lips

Speaking of red, crimson lips were one of the biggest beauty trends of the night. Zooey Deschanel, Jenna Dewan and Taylor Swift all looked sultry in a pretty red pout.

Short Bobs

Something about the 2014 Golden Globes made the stars want to go shorter. Zosia Mamet debuted her fresh new bob on the red carpet and Hayden Panettiere also showed off her slightly shorter locks.

Statement Earrings

We're clearly big bling fans, and so we loved all the statement earrings we noticed on the red carpet. We're really glad Cate Blanchett wore her hair in a faux bob so we could get a good look at her fabulous diamond Chopard earrings.

Plunging Necklines

We love when celebs decide to take the plunge! A deep v-neckline is always a sexy choice, and one of our fave looks was Kate Mara, who wowed in a shimmering J. Mendel gown.

Shimmery Champagne

Metallic nude dresses in a gorgeous shade of champagne ruled the red carpet Sunday night. Stars like Naomi Watts and Zooey Deschanel looked brilliant in soft gold gowns.

Sparkling Silver

And although we loved all the gold gowns, we can't leave out the slew of sparkling silver numbers we noticed, too. Celebs like Mila Kunis, Kate Beckinsale and Kate Mara turned heads in shimmering metallic dresses.

Super Sleek Strands

Goodbye, messy waves! Super sleek strands were a big trend of the night. Drew Barrymore wore her hair pin-straight, along with Kaley Cuoco and Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael.

Hi-Low Hemlines

The hi-low hemline trend is one that we thought was fading out, but apparently it's here to stay…at least for the moment. Celebs like Michelle Dockery, Caitlin FitzGerald and Elizabeth Moss all favored the hi-low trend.

3D Details

There were a lot of dresses on the red carpet that had 3D features, like Drew Barrymore's Monique Lhuillier applique dress and Zoe Saldana's Prabal Gurung dress that was covered in sparkly rhinestone embellishments.

Sexy Backs

A big trend of the evening was dresses with interesting, sexy backs. Reese Witherspoon's green Calvin Klein dress looked demure from the front, but when she turned around you could see her gown's gorgeous t-strap detailing.

Bold Brights

Some of the gowns on the red carpet were so bright, they were blinding. Taylor Schilling's green dress and Lena Dunham's Zac Posen yellow gown had us reaching for our sunglasses.
