Karen Walker

What we love about Karen Walker is how her designs are edgy and cool but still so simple and wearable. We pretty much need that "Young, Willing and Eager" sweater in our closet now.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Menswear-inspired pieces and boxy silhouettes ruled at 3.1 Phillip Lim, and yet the collection still felt feminine. Lilac-colored jackets and maxi skirts gave the edgy, fashion-forward show a soft and pretty vibe.

Opening Ceremony

Models walked by a chocolate syrup-covered wall (yup, you read that right!) at the Opening Ceremony show, although the clothes were more sophisticated than sweet. Inspired by Belgium—hence the chocolate—the collection featured asymmetrical detailing, oversized silhouettes and backwards mullet hemlines (long in the front, short in the back).

DVF

Even the runway was patterned at the DVF show! The collection was an explosion of playful prints and colors (royal blue, magenta and tomato—just to name a few), but our favorite thing about Diane von Furstenberg's show was that the models actually smiled! A rarity during Fashion Week.

Tommy Hilfiger

Brr! Time to bundle up. Tommy Hilfiger showed his latest collection on a snow-covered runway, setting the mood for his cozy knits and fabulous coats. Models looked snug as a bug from the waist up—but freezing and bare-legged from waist down!

Thakoon

Forget fall! Thakoon's latest collection had us thinking of all things springtime. The show was basically an ode to florals, and one of our favorite looks was a flouncy, pepto pink skirt paired with an oversized stone gray sweater. So simple and fresh.

Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera's Fall 2014 collection featured a bevy of cool, geometric prints and fabulous, statement-making gowns. The designer paired her look with supersized fez hats and glamorous red chandelier earrings. Overall? Beautiful.

Victoria Beckham

Working in a color palette of black, white and red, Victoria Beckham's Fall 2014 collection was utterly refined and effortless. And while there were menswear-inspired elements (i.e. topcoats and trousers), the overall vibe of her collection was soft and feminine.

Monique Lhuillier

Monique Lhuillier delivered a breathtaking collection of beautiful gowns. There was so much to love, but a few of our favorite looks were a sparkling champagne number, a darkly romantic black lace dress and a black and pink full-skirted gown that looked like an explosion of petals.

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang's technology-inspired collection was chock full of color, texture and pattern. Models donned bright but androgynous pieces like lime green sweaters in ultra-tactile fabrics. And you can't tell from the photos, but the knee-high boots were actually backless.

Derek Lam

Derek Lam's fresh collection was filled with modern silhouettes that celebrated the fashion-forward, working woman. Our favorite pieces were the silk maxi dresses with carefully-placed cutout detailing. Gorgeous.

DKNY

The DKNY show proved that dressing for fall should never be boring. The collection was filled with flashy and fun pieces like a hot pink lace shift dress, a cool navy peacoat and a truly fabulous red fur vest.

Lela Rose

Lela Rose's Fall 2014 collection was a celebration of all things feminine. We love the purple dresses with polka dot mesh detailing, playful fringed numbers and pretty ivory frocks with just the right amount of sparkle.

Altuzarra

There was a whole lot goin' on at the Altuzarra show. There was a Technicolor dreamcoat that was giving major court jester vibes and a fringed dress that really looked like a rug. Our fave looks were the more toned down ones—like a simple gray strapless dress with pops of neon.

Rebecca Taylor

Leave it to Rebecca Taylor to deliver cool, feminine and flirty offerings every season. For her latest collection models donned printed bomber jackets, quilted mini skirts and flouncy floral dresses under leather jackets.

Mara Hoffman

Mara Hoffman is a true master of graphic prints, and for her latest collection she was inspired by North Africa. Highlights included a black chiffon gown with metallic detailing and a black and white graphic maxi skirt/crop top combo.

Prabal Gurung

There were plenty of prints at the Prabal Gurung show, but our favorite standout pieces were the flowing, solid color gowns with cutouts and bedazzled detailing. Every season Gurung manages to hit notes of sophisticated, romantic and sexy all at the same time. We wonder if we'll see one of these numbers at the Oscars?

Cushnie et Ochs

Between the plunging necklines and thigh-high slits (not to mention all the mesh detailing), the Cushnie et Ochs show fully embraced ultra-sexy evening wear. And if you took the cowboy hats off of the black dresses, they would make perfectly appropriate red carpet gowns.

Herve Leger by Max Azria

Of course there were the trademark bodycon dresses at Herve Leger, but there were also some unexpected details—lots of fringe, for example. And if you thought the cutout trend was going anywhere, this show proved that it's here to stay. The sexy dresses got an extra dose of sultry with plenty of peek-a-boo cutouts.

Tibi

Between the wide-brimmed top hats and the oversized coats, Tibi's latest collection was all about menswear-inspired separates. Pops of baby blue color added a bit of feminine flair.

Suno

Suno's Fall 2014 show was a beautiful mix of folksy details and high glamour. There was so much visual interest on the runway, and yet nothing seemed over-worked or too busy. Everything had a purpose. And of course, there were plenty of Suno's signature fabulous prints.

Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller was inspired by strong female warriors for her latest collection, and there was definitely an intensity to every single look that graced the runway—whether it was a feathered peacock dress or a studded leather miniskirt with a printed wrap blouse.

Jill Stuart

The Jill Stuart show was the perfect combination of cool and fun. And all of the looks were pretty but practical; we could see ourselves wearing any of these pieces. Standouts included black and gold sparkly dresses and a sheer polka dot blouse.

Jason Wu

Jason Wu's latest collection had a flowing, almost liquid metal feel to it. Sumptuous fabrics like velvet gave the pieces a dark and romantic vibe. Highlights included a deep emerald dress with cutout details, showing just the right amount of skin.
