Chrysler Building

We're thrilled to see Lady Gaga in a normal, elegant dress made of actual fabric! This structural stunner feels like the top of one of Manhattan's most famous buildings, which is fitting for the New York native and fancy enough for Hollywood's biggest night.

Best Yet

Sandra Bullock has had an impressive awards season run, but this navy Alexander McQueen dream is her best dress yet. She looks like a screen siren circa 1940 from her luscious locks to her curvy shape.

Grecian Goddess

She may be a Spanish stunner, but Penelope Cruz looks like a more ancient A-lister in this grecian-draped Giambattista Valli dress. We have a feeling the Greeks would welcome her with open arms.

Kate the Great!

Kate Hudson never ceases to shine on every red carpet that she walks, but this silky white stunner is among her best looks of all time. Between the caped shoulders and plunging neckline, it's as regal as it is sexy.

Perfect Mermaid

Charlize Theron looks like a wildly fashion-forward underwater woman in this sculptured creation, and we mean that as the highest compliment. Her swooping skirt is absolute perfection, but it's the neckline that makes this look so classic.

Flapper Fashion

It's like Jennifer Garner stepped out of a time machine from the Roaring Twenties, took the fringe from the top of her flapper dress and glued it on the bottom. And yet we still like it!

Fireworks!

Angelina Jolie is well aware of the fact that you have to wear something this sparkly when you're standing next to Brad Pitt...for the rest of your life. This metallic Elie Saab style is among her best ever, and an instant add to our Best Dressed list.

Shorts?!

Is Pharrell Williams responsible for an Academy Awards first? We're not sure that's an award worth winning if it's for the first tuxedo shorts worn on the red carpet. We're all for wild fashion choices, but Hollywood's biggest night requires a complete pair of pants.

Floral First

So far Chrissy Teigen is the only A-lister to wear a floral print on the carpet, but her Monique Lhuillier creation makes up for the lack of others. It looks like a thousand cherry blossoms exploded onto a black night sky.

Pink-ett

We're not used to seeing Jada Pinkett Smith looking so sweet and simple...and we're not sure we like it. This blush halter look is certainly elegant, but we prefer for our Smith family matriarch to look more edgy.

Instant Winner

We expected perfection from Lupita Nyong'o and she delivers in this dreamy blue Prada piece with the perfect plunging neckline. She's been a stunner all season long, and this light-as-air look tops off her first red carpet season perfectly.

A+ Armani

We're not making any official predictions here, but this Armani dream is just the kind of gown that Cate Blanchett would be lucky to win an Academy Award in. The nude with cream and gold detail pops on the carpet, and those giant diamond cluster earrings are a perfect match.

Redeemed!

We didn't have nice things to say about Julia Roberts' black-and-white Golden Globes creation or her fuchsia SAG Awards jumpsuit, but this Givenchy is exactly what we were hoping to see from America's sweetheart. Classic black in a bold lace with a deep, tasteful neckline. Our girl is back!

Best Dior Yet?

She's been through six plus Dior dresses this awards season, but this stunning red look on Jennifer Lawrence might be our favorite yet. The deep lipstick shade is killer on her skin and against her blonde shock of hair, plus we love those peplum-style pieces on the side.

Red Carpet Wrinkles

We love Kerry Washington, we love her perfect baby bump, and we love them both in this Jason Wu dress. But we cannot excuse the wrinkles throughout the middle and bottom...

Ice, Ice Baby

Now this is an Academy Awards dress. From the body-hugging shape in pure white crystal to the wild statement necklace that resembles the world's most gorgeous spider, Naomi Watts is killing it.

Chain Mail Couture

Anne Hathaway is making it hard to remember that she wore a girly pink Prada frock to last year's Academy Awards. This hot Gucci halter frock makes her look like she's wearing the undershirt of a knight in shining armor, but the cut is fierce enough to make it work.

Liza with a B?

Leave it to Liza Minnelli to show up to the Oscars in an off-the-shoulder, electric blue pajama set. We prefer her in black sequins and leggings, but this look is certainly bold enough to maintain her mad woman reputation.

Coco Moment

Jessica Biel might be the only one wearing Chanel on the carpet tonight, but it's a big enough fashion moment for a dozen celebs. This creamy crystal column is perfection.

Piece Meal

We're torn about Anna Kendrick's J. Mendel dress. The black and red is sexy, but there's almost too much going on between the high-low bottom, ruffled skirt, asymmetrical neckline and patterned belt. Frankly, we've seen her in better.

Frozen Fashion

Kristen Bell dressed in theme for her Frozen role in this icy white Roberto Cavalli number. The embellishments are perfection from top to bottom - like thousands of little icicles covering a light blanket of snow.

America Haute Couture

Amy Adams left the '70s style at home tonight in favor of a borderline boring Gucci gown. The shape is impeccable, but the deep navy is a bit of a snooze.

Black Tie Bump

Olivia Wilde took a step back from that green sequin Gucci frock she wore at the Golden Globes and slipped into this elegant Valentino design. Or as she said it best on the carpet, "We're both wearing Valentino." Now that's a lucky baby.

First Lady Look

Does having Ellen as the host make Portia de Rossi the FLOTO (First Lady of the Oscars)?? If so, she's representing the "first family" incredibly well with this gorgeous cream crochet halter frock by Naeem Khan.
