Chances of Survival: Premiere got only 5.9 million viewers. Not good.
23. Mulaney
Sundays at 7:30 on Fox
WHAT IT IS: A modern-day take on Seinfeld pretending it's not Seinfeld, created by and starring stand up comic and SNL vet John Mulaney.
YOUR RANKING: #23 (57% hated it; 43% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: While not canceled completely, Fox moved the show to 7:30 p.m. on Sundays. Yikes.
22. The Mysteries of Laura
Wednesdays at 8 on NBC
WHAT IT IS: Debra Messing trying to be both a cop and a mom. Can she do it?! Doesn't look like it.
YOUR RANKING: #22 (59% hated it; 41% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: What Smash curse? NBC gave the procedural a full 22-episode pickup. "Debra has effortlessly infused Laura with a relatability that is captivating audiences," NBC boss Jennifer Salke said. "We can't wait to see how Laura will continue to evolve throughout the entire season."
21. Manhattan Love Story
Tuesdays at 8:30 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: A comedy that tells us what two kind of terrible people are thinking as they fall in love.
YOUR RANKING: #21 (52% hated it; 48% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: MLS had the unfortunate honor of being the first casualty of the fall, with ABC ending its relationship with the rom-com after four episodes, with its last outing attracting just 2.7 million viewers.
20. Black-ish
Wednesdays at 9:30 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: A sweet, funny family comedy starring Anthony Anderson and Laurence Fishburne
YOUR RANKING: #20 (47% hated it; 53% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Good reviews, 11 million premiere viewers, and managing to hold its own in the coveted (but oft-fatal) post-Modern Family timeslot means ABC already picked the sitcom up for a full season.
19. Constantine
Fridays at 10 on NBC
WHAT IT IS: Based on DC Comics' Hellblazer series, Constantine centers on occult detective John Constantine, who is attempting to save humanity from supernatural forces while battling his own personal demons.
YOUR RANKING: #19 (40% hated it; 60% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: The Matt Ryan starrer debuted to solid ratings, quite the feat considering its less-than-super timeslot. The real question is now is whether or not viewers will keep staying in on Friday night.
18. Madam Secretary
Sundays at 8 on CBS
WHAT IT IS: A political drama about Tea Leoni as the Secretary of State.
YOUR RANKING: #18 (40% hated it; 60% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: CBS just picked the show up for a full season, as well as its three other new dramas.
17. Forever
Tuesdays at 10 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: A medical procedural with a twist – the doctor's immortal!
YOUR RANKING: #17 (40% hated it; 60% loved it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: After garnering a super passionate fanbase early on, ABC picked up the Ioan Gruffudd-starrer for a full season. Could it be their next Castle?!
16. NCIS: NOLA
Tuesdays at 9 on CBS
WHAT IT IS: A new spin-off of the most popular show on TV starring Scott Bakula
YOUR RANKING: #16 (63% loved it; 37% hated it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: It's a spin-off of the most popular show on TV. At 17 million viewers, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to see why CBS already picked it up for a full season.
15. State of Affairs
Mondays at 10 on NBC
WHAT IT IS: Katherine Heigl is back on TV in this Scandal meets Homeland political thriller, where she plays a CIA analyst whose daily job is to brief the president (played Alfre Woodard)...who also happened to be engaged to her now-dead son.
YOUR RANKING: #15 (63% loved it; 37% hated it)
Chances of Survival: Debuted to a solid 8.6 million viewers and a 2.2 demo rating, winning its timeslot in the latter. Still, the network needs to see if those numbers hold up.
MIDDLE OF THE PACK: 14. A to Z
Thursdays on NBC
WHAT IT IS: A super-adorable romantic comedy starring Cristin Milioti.
YOUR RANKING: #14 (65% loved; 35% hated)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: NBC decided not to pick up additional episodes of the sitcom, choosing to let it end after its original 13-episode order.
13. Selfie
Tuesdays at 8 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: My Fair Lady plus social media plus crazy quotable dialogue.
YOUR RANKING: #13 (65% loved it; 35% hated it)
OUR RANKING: #5
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Nada as ABC canceled the charming sitcom. So not cool.
12. Gracepoint

WHAT IT IS: A remake of the brilliant UK Broadchurch, about the mystery of a boy's death in a small town
YOUR RANKING: #12 (67 percent loved it; 33 percent hated it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Definitely not returning for a season two.
11. Scorpion
Mondays at 9 on CBS
WHAT IT IS: A bunch of geniuses solve crazy government problems with the help of Katherine McPhee, who is a waitress.
YOUR RANKING: #11 (68% loved it; 32% hated it)
OUR RANKING: #15
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: The drama version of The Big Bang Theory? Of course it was already picked up for a full season and will probably go on for 10 years.
10. Jane the Virgin
Mondays at 9 on the CW
WHAT IT IS: a 23-year-old virgin gets accidentally artificially inseminated with the sperm of her childchood crush after his sister-doc mixes up her files with his crazy wife's. Crazy? Yes. Charming? Surprisingly....yes!
YOUR RANKING: #10 (74% loved it; 26% hated it)

CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: In case you missed the weekly newsletter: everyone is in love with star Gina Rodriguez (and rightfully so!). And while the premiere numbers (1.63 million viewers) weren't nearly as impressive as The Flash's debut, it was the network's most-watched series in its timeslot since 2012, leading to a early full season order. This Jane is anything but plain, it would seem!
9. Red Band Society
Wednesdays at 9 on Fox
WHAT IT IS: Dramedy about sick kids, but so not depressing.
YOUR RANKING: #9 (76% loved it; 24% hated it)
OUR RANKING: #2
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Premiere numbers (around 4 million) were not great and didn't get better, but we have high hopes. Such high hopes. (If it gets canceled, we will cry. Hard.)
8. Kingdom
Wednesdays at 9 on DirecTV
WHAT IT IS: A gritty family drama set inside the word of MMA fighting, starring Nick Jonas like you've never seen him before, FNL and Parenthood fan favorite Matt Lauria, and Jonathan Tucker.
YOUR RANKING: #7 (77% loved it; 23% hated it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Renewed for two more seasons! Fight on!
7. Gotham
Mondays at 8 on Fox
WHAT IT IS: A Batman prequel featuring Bruce Wayne as a kid and The O.C.'s Ryan Atwood as a hot young Not-Yet-Commissioner Gordon.
YOUR RANKING: #7 (78% loved it; 22% hated it)

CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Premiered to around 8 million and comic book shows are all the rage right now. And Fox already booked a longer stay in Gotham City, picking up the series for a full season.
6. Galavant
Sundays at 8 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: A delightfully campy and weird medieval musical extravaganza, remisicent of The Princess Bride.
YOUR RANKING: #6 (79% loved it; 21% hated it)
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Though it's too early to tell, if Galavant performs well in its special four-week run, ABC could decide to let the show sing another season.
5. Marry Me
Tuesdays at 9 on NBC
WHAT IT IS: Based on Happy Endings' creator David Caspe's real-life courtship with his now-wife Happy Endings' star Casey Wilson, Happy Endings' Casey Wilson and Veronica Mars' Ken Marino play a couple navigating life as a newly-engaged pair. (And just one more time: Happy Endings!)
YOUR RANKING: #5 (80% loved it; 20% loved it)
Chances of Survival: After an impressive debut, NBC ordered five more episodes of the sitcom, bringing its total season one count to 18. Year of Casey, suck it!
4. How To Get Away With Murder
Thursdays at 10 on ABC
WHAT IT IS: All the best things about any Shondaland show, but with more lawyers, even more sex (if possible), and way more murder.
YOUR RANKING: #4 (83% loved it; 17% hated it)
OUR RANKING: #1
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: 20.3 million viewers in its first week. 20.3 million!! And ABC already picked it up for a full season, so this show is never, ever getting canceled. Ever. Write that on your chalkboard in permanent marker.
3. Stalker
Wednesdays at 10 on CBS
WHAT IT IS: A seriously scary stalker series from Kevin Williamson starring Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q as a pair of detectives with some emotional baggage.
YOUR RANKING: #3 (88% loved it; 12% hated it)
OUR RANKING: #9
CHANCES OF SURVIVAL: Debuting to solid ratings (9.1 million viewers), Stalker managed to hold onto most of its viewers in its following episodes, leading to an early full season order. (Sorry about your increased electric bill for keeping the lights on out of sheer terror!)
