The Fosters: Renewed
ABC Family renewed Jennifer Lopez's family drama for a third season.
"We are thrilled to be making more episodes of The Fosters, a show that has not only garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards but resonates with our passionate and committed audience," Karey Burke, the network's executive vice president, said.
Fresh Off the Boat: Renewed
After receiving praise from critics and viewers in its freshman season, ABC ordered a second season of the '90s-set sitcom.
Game of Thrones: Renewed
HBO loves them some dragons! The network renewed the fantasy drama for not one, but two more seasons (five and six). Praise the Old Gods!
Girls: Renewed
While Lena Dunham and the rest of the ladies saw their lowest-rated premiere ever in season four, HBO is sticking in Brooklyn, ordering a fifth season.
The Good Wife: Renewed
Everybody loves The Good Wife: viewers, CBS, critics, etc. It's got everybody in its corner. Sure the show isn't the highest rated show on TV and its ratings have slipped, but creators Robert and Michelle King have long discussed a seven-year plan for Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), and CBS renewed the drama for its seventh season. But will it actually be the last? Time will tell...
Gotham: Renewed
The Batman prequel was able to live up to its massive hype, delivering solid ratings and producing one of the best new character of the season in Robin Lord Taylor's Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin). So yep, Fox renewed for the show for a second season.
Grey's Anatomy: Renewed
"We built a great night of television and people came," ABC boss Paul Lee said of Shonda Rhimes' powerhouse TGIT line-up, which will continue next season as all three of the showrunner's dramas were renewed. Even without McDreamy!
Hart of Dixie: Canceled
After months of speculation, the CW finally made the news official, canceling Rachel Bilson's charming dramedy after four seasons. Bye-bye Bluebell!
Hawaii Five-0: Renewed
It's not as strong a performer as Blue Bloods on Fridays and not one of the network's buzziest shows, but Hawaii Five-0 is still a player, leading CBS to renew it.
iZombie: Renewed
Looks like zombies are the new vamps! The CW renewed Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas' drama, based on the DC Comics property of the same name, for a second season, sure to be filled with hot sauce-doused brains and witticisms.
Jane the Virgin: Renewed
Coming off of Gina Rodriguez's groundbreaking Golden Globe win (and the show's nomination for Best Comedy), the network's first-ever at the ceremony, the charming freshman dramedy was renewed.
Last Man Standing: Renewed
The ABC sitcom was the last holdout among all of the network's scripted shows, but it was no surprise when it was finally renewed. The ratings are just good enough to keep it going for a fifth season.
Law & Order: SVU: Renewed
Last year, there was a down-to-the-wire renewal, but everything worked out in the end. The show has been on for 16 years and the ratings are going up…NBC won't let this long-running series go without a proper farewell. The network officially ordered a season 17 in February.
Looking: Canceled
After two seasons of Jonathan Groff goodness, HBO decided not to renew the beloved-but-low-rated comedy. But they are easing the pain with a special that will wrap up the series.
"After two years of following Patrick and his tight-knit group of friends as they explored San Francisco in search of love and lasting relationships, HBO will present the final chapter of their journey as a special. We look forward to sharing this adventure with the shows loyal fans," the network said in a statement.
Madame Secretary: Renewed
Averaging 14.9 million viewers in its first season, CBS picked up the political drama starring Tea Leoni and Tim Daly for next season, along with Scorpion and NCIS: New Orleans.
"These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week," Nina Tassler said. "Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts, and have resonated with a big, broad audience."
Marry Me: Canceled
While the sitcom debuted to higher-than-anticipated numbers, the viewership has dropped steadily, with a recent episode attracting 2.2 million viewers. So NBC ended the engagement early.
Marvel's Agent Carter: Renewed
Marvel's latest foray into TV centers on Captain America's Peggy (Hayley Atwell) and has experienced a ratings drop since its debut this season, but ABC boss Paul Lee said, "We feel very optimistic about it." And while we were super nervous the network was going to cancel it, ABC saved our day and picked it up for a second season. YAS KWEEN PEGGY.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Renewed
While ratings have continued to slip in its second season, ABC boss Paul Lee expressed confidence in the Marvel series. "S.H.I.E.L.D. is actually a great and powerful show for us, [it's 18-49 demo rating with seven days of DVR playback playback] pops up to a 3.0, it brings in a male audience for us and it's creatively really strong now."
Factor in the fact that the network is eyeing a spinoff series, and it's not surprising it was renewed for a third season.
Marvel's Daredevil: Renewed
Just a little over a week after it premiered to incredibly good buzz, Netflix renewed the gritty superhero drama for a second season. We may not have been surprised, but we were pretty darn excited.
