For more than a decade, The Bachelor has been providing us with watercooler moments. The stuff gab-sessions over wine were made of. Tears, meltdowns, screaming matches, the hit franchise has played home to them all.
But some contestants take it even further, especially this season as Chris Soules' has courted a few particularly, ahem, crazy ladies.
So which three of Prince Farming's ladies made our list of the 14 most unusual contestants to ever appear on The Bachelor? Grab a helmet, things are about to get a little crazy...
Kelsey Poe
Now dubbed the Black Widow by fans, Kelsey kept waiting to tell Chris Soules she was a widow until the right moment. "I know what I need to do," she said just before doing it, inducing chills to go up the spine of every viewer. She was then accused of faking a panic attack to avoid elimination. She actually told the paramedic, "I'm gonna get a rose tonight, for sure."
Craziest Quote: "Isn't my story amazing?! It's tragic but it's amazing. I love my story."
Ashley Iaconetti
Oh, 'KardASHLEYian.' (She claimed her friends call her this because she looks like a Kardashian.) Devastated over not being picked for the princess-themed one-on-one date, Ashley I. cried...just before dressing up for it anyway as she brought a dress she bought specifically for a princess-themed date. "That's supposed to be my date," she said, as she chomped on corn on the cob.
Craziest Quote: "I don't want him to respect me that much," Ashley I. said after she told Chris Soules she was a virgin and he didn't kiss her immediately afterward.
Ashley S.
Ashley S. is, hands down, the craziest contestant to ever appear on the show. Where to even begin? She constantly interrupted Chris Soules' interviews, randomly wandered the grounds, gave another contestant a rose, and said this in week four, "I just love you, Chris. I like really love you, Chris. I love everything about you. It's crazy at this point in time, but I actually do really, really love you. And I hope this resonates in your mind tonight...you don't have to say anything in regards to that." How'd she even make it to week four? We think Chris was scared of her.
Craziest Quote: "Every person you meet is like an onion. You cut them, but when you cut them, you peel them back and what you do is you peel them back layer by layer. That to me is an onion...it's blooming. Take a look at the freakin' onion. Look at this onion. Seriously, I'm not even kidding. That's a freakin' onion. I swear it's an onion. Can I just please just pick it? If it's a pomegranate, then god bless it. It is a pomegranate. It is. (She then picks said pomegranate.) Wow! I feel powerful!"
Rozlyn Papa
One of the best moments in franchise history, girlfriend was sent home after she engaged in "an inappropriate relationship" with one of the show's producers, much to the shock of Bachelor Jake Pavelka. (But after getting to know the Bach, can you really blame her?) She denied it and got into an intense showdown with Chris Harrison at the Women Tell All special, where she accused the host of flirting with a producer's wife. Whoa.
Craziest Quote: "On my child's life, that never happened."
Courtney Robertson
Arguably The Bachelor's most infamous contestant ever, she revealed many things on the show, including her competitiveness, her prior relationship with C-list actor Jesse Metcalfe…and her naked body as she got Ben Flajnik to go skinny-dipping with her on-camera. And guess what? SHE WON. (LOL, we're all going to die alone.)
Craziest Quote: "We could definitely do something else out there if we felt so frisky."
Stacey Elza
Stacey stuffed a pair of her panties in Matt Grant's pocket at the cocktail party. Just before passing out prior to the rose ceremony in a spare bedroom. All on the first night. Shockingly enough, she did not receive the first impression rose.
Craziest Quote: Why did she pull a Sixteen Candles and hand over her underwear? "I just wanted to spice things up. I am very spontaneous and outgoing so I thought it would be something fun to do and for the record those were an extra pair of panties that I had."
Madison McKinley
Weirder than the fact that she was such a fan of vampires that she wore professionally made fangs on the first night? Bachelor Brad Womack kept her around…until she turned into a bat and decided to leave. OK, the first part didn't happen, but the second did.
Crazy Quote: "I'm a Twilight fan." 2011, what a time to be alive. This explains so much.
Tierra LiCausi
Listen, she just couldn't control her eyebrow, OK? Possibly the franchise's biggest crier ever, Tierra earned the ire of every single other contestant due to her one-track mind to win over Sean Lowe. She also was rushed to the hospital after tripping down the stairs. Walking is hard, y'all!
Craziest Quote: "They said, ‘Tierra, you have a sparkle. Do not let those girls take your sparkle away.'"
Trish Schneider
Also from Jesse's season, Trish was one of the franchise's first big bads and spy Jenny's No. 1 target. Why? Well, she once wore a T-shirt that read "Gold Digger— Like a hooker … just smarter."
Craziest Quote: She refused to leave after she was eliminated, surprising Jesse in the next episode by interrupting one of his dates to hand her hotel room key, you know, "Should he change his mind." Hard pass, thanks!
Michelle
Thankfully Matt Grant sent her home early in Season 12 because it doesn't seem likely she found anyone to take care of her beloved cat.
Craziest Quote: "I'm going to make sure she's OK. It's going to be great to have her purr again. And lay in my legs again. And to be with her again because she's the love of my life at the moment."
Erica Rose
A self-proclaimed princess, the former-socialite now-lawyer competed for Prince Lorenzo Borghese's affection, but many thought she was just in it for his money. Her follow-up appearances on Bachelor Pad did nothing to dissuade that opinion.
Craziest Quote: "I would love to do a Legally Blonde kind of show or a Judge Judy court show in Houston, and integrate my law degree into my life. Because I've neglected it long enough," Erica told Celebuzz. The saddest thing? We'd watch it.
Michelle Money
Before becoming a fan favorite on Bachelor Pad and Bachelor in Paradise, Michelle Money brought a little bit of the crazies to Brad Womack's second go-around as the Bachelor, with her constant need to share her (very much unsolicited) opinions about the other women with him.
Crazy Quote: "I woke up with a black eye. I must have had a rough night of sleep last night." And we never did find out how it happened...shudders.
Jenny Schillari
The craziest thing about Jenny? She was married. And a friend of Jesse Palmer's. Yes, the NFL quarterback asked his BFF's wife to pose as a secret agent to gather Intel on the ladies. Friends don't let friends hand out roses blindly.
Craziest Quote: "I've always been very affectionate with my friends. My husband was fine with it, even though our friends were saying, ‘But he kissed her on the lip!'" Schillari said this in an interview with EW.com about kissing her husband's college roommate on the lips on the show. No additional commentary needed.
Vienna Girardi
Her behavior on the show was pretty tame (she snuck into his hotel room on a two-on-one date) compared to the s—tstorm that came after: her on-air post-breakup interview/verbal smackdown with Jake Pavelka that redefined trainwreck television.
Craziest Quote: "You are the meanest person I've ever met in my life! I'm over it!" This was said just before she ran away during an interview about her public break-up. Which she agreed to do.
