TV's Best Bromances
Who needs romance anymore? Deep, serious friendship is where it's really at, especially when it involves guys subverting silly gender stereotypes to open up their hearts to one another. The love between between two best guy friends is a love worth celebrating, so let's do just that by counting down the 22 best bromances on TV!
22. Bronn and Tyrion, Game of Thrones
Bronn may sell his loyalty and fealty to the highest bidder, but even he can't deny the bonds he formed while working with Tyrion. Friendship is hard to come by in Westeros, and it caught these two men by complete surprise...and we loved watching every second of it play out onscreen.
20. Rupert and Angus, Outlander
Diana Gabaldon herself has said that these two are the best thing about the show that she didn't write, and we have to agree, and that's only partly because we appreciate having something to laugh at amidst all the near rape, actual rape, and gruesome torture.
19. Jon and Sam, Game of Thrones
The fierce loyalty these two brothers of the Night's Watch share is something of a rarity up at the Wall, where most of the men are convicted murderers and rapists. That's probably why Jon and Sam, two men who chose to join the Night's Watch rather than be sentenced there, stick together so tightly.
18. Nathan and Lucas, One Tree Hill
These bio-brothers started off the series absolutely loathing each other, but after a few turbulent years forced to work together on the same basketball team, they came to love each other as only brothers can. Dan may have been the worst person (and father) ever, but he did one thing right: he brought Nathan and Lucas into the world.
17. Brian and Stewey, Family Guy
The internet is full of dogs and babies becoming the best of friends, but their dirty jokes and pop culture references pale in comparison to Brian and Stewey.
16. Cory and Shawn, Boy Meets World
More often than not, this bromance was just a straight up long-time married couple romance, and even Cory's wife was cool with it. Cory and Shawn's love was and still is (thanks to Girl Meets World) very, very real.
14. Damon and Alaric, The Vampire Diaries
Dead or alive, together or apart, these two unlikely pals will find a way to share a bottle of bourbon and toast their beautiful friendship.
13. Ryan and Simon, American Idol
The lovable tension between Ryan and Simon was palpable on a weekly basis, and it's half the reason that American Idol was so great for so many seasons.
11. Chris and Ben, Parks and Recreation
Auditors? More like Hotitors.
Sorry we'll show ourselves out. (But really, have you ever seen a sexier accounting duo? Their good auditor/bad auditor act is one we'd pay to see.)
10. Shawn and Gus, Psych
Gus AKA Sh'Dynasty AKA Lavender Gooms AKA Longbranch Pennywhistle AKA Silly Pants Jackson and Shawn "World's Best Nickname Maker" Spenstar literally couldn't be more perfect for each other, and you know that's right.
8. Dwight and Michael, The Office
They may have been the regional manager and the assistant to the regional manager, but they had one of the most superlative friendships any TV paper company has ever seen.
7. J.D and Turk, Scrubs
It's guuuuyyyyy love between twooooo guuuuuuyyyys. We've legitimately never been so jealous of both an on-screen and an off-screen relationship.
6. Nick and Schmidt, New Girl
Gave me cookie got you cookie! The inventors of the swuit couldn't be any more different, but we'd like to thank opposites for attracting and giving us one of the greatest teams the business world has ever seen.
Honorary Mention: Winston and Ferguson, New Girl
They take selfies together, they take showers together, they run cat brothel's out of Winston's room together, and we've never been more envious of/weirded out by a human/pet relationship.
5. Blake and Adam, The Voice
There are three reasons to watch The Voice: 1) the talented contestants, 2) the fun spinny chairs, and 3) the sweetest and unlikeliest of friendships between downhome country crooner Blake Shelton and sexy-cool Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.
3. Joey and Chandler, Friends
J-Man and Channie managed to stay friends after living together for more than six years, which you'll know is quite an impressive feat if you've ever had a roommate. Bracelet buddies forever.
2. Sam and Dean, Supernatural
Like a few others on this list, Sam and Dean are actually brothers, and at times their bromance has been life or death. These two have literally been to hell and back for each other, while we spent years unable to get our brother to just pass us the salt.
1. Seth and Ryan, The OC
Now this is #friendshipgoals. Seth and Ryan's lives didn't truly start until they met each other, and ours will never be the same after watching them conquer high school and everything after it together.
