Where it all began—the origin of the under-structure started in my New York City atelier.
The Under-Structure
One of the many parts of my process: the under-structure. We used a hollow under-structure, which allowed for Claire Danes to glide into the dress.
The Draping
The beginning of my draping process: I like to come in on the weekend when it is calm. I turn on my music and focus. I started draping a month prior to the Met Ball.
