Gigi Hadid

Unless you plan on snoozing your way through the summer fashion scene, it's time to start making some key wardrobe swaps. To make it easy, we took four hard-to-pull-off celeb trends and picked beginner, intermediate and advanced-level options for you to try at home. But we promise, each one is surprisingly doable. To shop, keep reading!

News flash, crop tops are not going anywhere. That being said, we totally feel you if Gigi's cobalt, mini-sized crop feels a tad unwearable. To give your going-out look new life, these asymmetrical versions will encourage you to venture out comfortably.

Asymmetric Crop Top

Unlike your basic crop top, an asymmetric cut is departure from the norm. A one-shoulder number in basic black is a beginner option that will fold nicely into your closet. For a bolder intermediate look, try a pop of color or take it into advanced territory with some ruffle details along the straps. Just remember that the angled shirt is the main attraction so keep everything else minimal.

Kate Hudson

We can always count on Kate Hudson to make a case for the deep-V. While your summer plans might not call for a sequin-adorned cocktail dress, a casual take on the plungling neckline can still be a very real reality for you this season.

Plunging Neckline

If you're off to Vegas, for instance, a deep-diving neckline on a bodycon dress is good place to start. For an intermediate approach, a collared romper feels professional (but still cool and relaxed), while casual boho dress in a printed pattern is the biggest dare of them all.

Chrissy Teigan

Oh, Chrissy Teigan. The girl's a constant source of inspiration and her fashion perspective is no exception. Her ruffle-heavy bodycon dress might feel too dressed up, but the ruffle part is summer gold. For instance, atop a looser-fitting silhouette, the flowy detail becomes suddenly low key.

Ruffles on Top

Ruffles are eye-catching on their own, so, no matter what, choose a relaxed-fit lightweight linen fabric. A neutral pattern is a good beginner option. To kick it up for a tropical vacation, perhaps, pick an embroidered dress or go full out with a loud pattern print.

Izabel Goulart

Short-shorts are a summer staple. To give your denim cuttoffs a break, and to maintain your status as the trendsetter in your group, make like Izabel Goulart and slip on a pair of tailored hot pants that fuse summer with sophistication.

Tailored Short Shorts

A simple subdued pattern is the beginner way of easing into the bold-bottom trend. For an intermediate approach, opt for bolder floral prints, or for the advance take, curtain-style shorts in an even busier pattern. Just remember to keep the top of your choice in a solid color to keep it simple.
