The Pink Couch

Sutton based all of her apartment's decor surrounding this hot pink couch she found and just couldn't give up. "It's a little girl's dream!" she told E! News.

Bright Colors

The actress says she realized her NYC apartment could handle lots of bright colors because of the beautiful, high views of the water.

Finishing Touches

Once she'd picked out the big pieces of furniture, Sutton used the help of two designers and Home Goods to add finishing touches.

Bold Black and White

Since many of the decorations are bright and colorful, the actress and her hubby added some big, black and white pieces—like their kitchen chairs and the lamps on the bar—to bring it all together.

It's All in the Details

Even their bar setup includes colorful shot glasses and coasters!

Creating Her Vision

Sutton wanted the apartment to reflect her and her husband's creative sides but still feel comfortable. "[We wanted] it to feel like a creative explosion cause I am a performer and my husband is a writer," she told E! News. "So we really wanted it to feel that way and not to serious. This apartment does not take itself too seriously."

Making It Personal

Throughout the apartment, Sutton made sure to add photographs, books, drawings and other personal touches that stem from the couple's life.

A Space for the Tony's

She ever-so-carefully placed her Tony Awards amid a couple other important items on a bookshelf so as to not call too much attention to them. "I get so embarrassed by them, and I almost don't even want to put them up because everyone is like, 'Where are your Tony's?!'" she told E! News, adding, "They're in kind of a weird place, to sort of inconspicuously have them on the shelf."

The Most Difficult Room

Sutton admits the hardest room to decorate was the office as they are hoping to eventually turn it into a baby's nursery when they finally decide to have children. Thus, they tried to leave it neutral.

Her Sanctuary

Sutton says her bedroom is her sanctuary. She loves the calming qualities of the blue hues and doesn't allow any electronics!

Puppy Love

Obviously the space wouldn't be perfect without several pieces in dedication of the couple's dog!
