Known for his role beside James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, the actor was returning to his West Hollywood home on the night of Feb. 12, 1976, when he was stabbed to death during a robbery attempt. He was 37-years-old. Several years later, Lionel Ray Williams was convicted for his murder.
