Andra Day

The matching baby-blue nails and shoes coupled with the ombré orange sherbert-hued dress are a little too saccharine for our taste.

Katy Perry

There's no doubt the singer's Tom Ford gown is a head-turner. However, the way it bunches up around her hips is a tad unflattering.

Halsey

We usually love it when celebs are daring enough to go sans shirt. This look would've registered a bit better if the exposed skin was complemented by impeccable tailoring or a structured silhouette. The wrinkles were also a tad distracting.

Elle King

Great for a Renaissance fair, but the flower crown and floral frock is little too matchy-matchy for this red carpet. If the top was a solid color, this look would feel a lot more modern.

Taraji P. Henson

The mini hemline and accentuated shoulders are totally appropriate for this edgy award show; however, there may be one too many graphic design details.

Skrillex

The EDM DJ stayed true to his low-key style, but a cool jacket could've elevated this look without much more effort.

Elvana Gjata

The top of the Albanian singer-songwriter's cozy frock isn't awful, but the proportion of the high-low hem is totally off.

Girl Crush

We love it when celebs use unconventional materials in their looks (very Project Runway, no?). But when it's not executed well—see the hem unraveling—the overall look can look, well, cheap.

The color of the dress is amazing. The amount of ruffles? Not so much. Add the high-low hem, and together, it's all too much. If the singer dialed it down on the design elements, this look would be aces! Also, this dress is much more appropriate for a luncheon rather than the Grammys.
