Contemporary Cozy

Your Style: You love midcentury side tables, transitional chairs and contemporary accents. What can you say? You like a little bit of everything, as long as things look somewhat streamlined, clean and comfortable. While blending design themes was once considered a faux pas, today, it's practically the norm. How do you make sure everything blends together then? A thematic color palette often works. For instance, if your lower cabinets are gray, perhaps the trim on the curtains or a few furniture pieces are in that same color family.

Simple Designs Mini Egg Oval Ceramic Table Lamp 2-Pack Set, $15.48; H&M Jacquard-weave Throw, $34.99; Jonathan Adler Antwerp Two-Tier side Table, $995; Room&Board Wren Swivel Glider Chair & Ottoman in Sunbrella® Canvas, $1099

Property Brothers

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: Property Brothers, starring twins Jonathan and Drew Scott, sees a diverse clientele. However, preferences the clients all seem to have in common include farm sinks, subway tiles and an electric fireplace (if the budget allows). Somehow, the brothers seem to always make different motifs look contemporary.

Country Character

Your Style: You don't just like shopping vintage, you're looking for one-of-a-kind pieces that have history and character. The leather could be very distressed. The print may remind you of Grandma. But with all the pieces together, you have a home sweet home.

Pottery Barn Raylan Leather Armchair, $799 - $959; Waverly Modern Poetic Reversible Throw Pillow, $34.49; Kate and Laurel 6-Piece Groves Metal Wall Planter Set, $89.99; Belham Living Emerson Pipe Bed, $189.99

Home Town

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: Ben and Erin Napier, the stars of Home Town, don't replace; they restore old homes in small towns to their former glory. The result: quality structure with all the quirks of the original home and all the personality of the owners.

Eclectic Chic

You love colors, prints and textiles. Some may be overwhelmed with so much going on, but you see every piece as chance to express your personality.

West Elm Ombre Coffee Table, $499; Zara Home Bone China Rhinoceros Print Dessert Plate, $12.90; World Market Josephine Quilt, $99.99 - $119.99; Ikea NYMÅNE Pendant Lamp, Red, $39.99

Good Bones

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: The dynamic behind this mother-duo is too cute. As quirky and funny as Karen E. Laine and Mina Starsiak are, so are the final results of their Indianapolis renovations. Don't worry—they aren't too over the top either. For instance, artwork and a statement rug may take all the attention up in the room, but furniture and decor in complementary colors will definitely bring balance.

Distressed Digs

Your Style: Whether it's reupholstering an old stool or distressing a mirror, if you can't upcycle it (or update used pieces), it's not worth the space in your home. Not only is re-imagining old finds good for the environment, but it's becoming rather trendy now, too, with many paying big bucks for new old-looking stuff.

Urban Outfitters Fenced-In Wire Shelf, $119; CB2 Nahla White Leather Bar Stools, $379-$399; One Kings Lane Industrial Floor Lamp, Rust, $199; RH 18th C. Venetian Antiqued Glass Mirror, $795-$895

Flea Market Flip

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: If you don't want to be Flea Market Flip host Lara Spencer, you'll want to be her BFF. How else are you going to visit flea markets around the country and challenge contestants to create very unique, custom-made creations from old items?

Comfort Luxury

Your Style: While your furniture is more traditional, your smaller pieces and decor draw the eye. When guests come by, they think you're a hostess with the mostest, who has spent a premium on furnishings. In actuality, you know how to decorate to impress with smaller items.

Three Hands Made In India Marble Cheese Board, $12.99; Pier1 Imports Gray Faux Fur Eyelash Pillow, $27.96; ABC Carpet & Home Copper & Brass Serveware, $75-$298; Delphinium Home Prisma Mirror by Umbra, $100

Flip or Flop Fort Worth

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: While Andy and Ashley Williams from Flip or Flop Forth Worth aren't actual interior designers, the real-life and renovation veterans know how important staging is to sell a house. They leave the temporary design up to a third-party vendor, but the goal is to have a clean, inviting but also aspirational space. They do this by placing some strategic pieces around the house, like mirrors to make the space bigger or cookies out to make the home feel and smell like home.

Middle Modern

Your Style: You love a good Eames chair...just maybe not the price tag. More than that, you like the clean lines, subtle curves and general look of the '50s and '60s.

MoMA Design Store Glow Tea Lights, $6.95-$10; Pinch Clyde Side Table, $965; Blu Dot Hotel 3' x 5' Rug, $199; Joss & Marin Harrington Side Chair, $95.99

Love It or List It

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: Let's be clear: Not all of the homes that Hilary Farr designs are midcentury modern, but her co-star and real estate agent David Visentin often finds houses featuring that aesthetic. It's a common look that runs throughout the show, even when the interior designer is creating more traditional, glam or industrial spaces.

Farm Charm

Your Style: Three words: shiplap, shiplap, shiplap! If you can expose wooden boards somewhere in your home, you will. You like things charming and rustic but with modern and, sometimes, industrial-inspired touches. If there's a vintage-looking clock over your fireplace and some kind of a wire plant holder inside your home, you know what we're talking about.

nuLOOM Geometric Moroccan Trellis Fancy Grey Area Rug (8' x 10'), $247.99; Franklin Console Table, $172.49; Pittman Handmade Round Wood Wall Clock, $212.99; Metal Stands With Whitewash Pots, 3-Piece Set, Copper, $158

Fixer Upper

Your HGTV Spirit Animal: Of course you're Joanna and Chip Gaines from Fixer Upper! The husband-wife duo practically brought shiplap back to the design world. Their farm-charm aesthetic is so well-known among HGTV fans that they even have a line at Target of decor and lifestyle products.
