Team USA made a wise choice when they elected to send this married duo as their sole representatives in the couples round. The two attribute the passion and chemistry you see in their performances to their real-life relationship, with Chris saying, "I think the difference between us and any other team is that we can make people feel something when we skate."

After years of friendship, this couple from Team USA finally took the leap and made their relationship official. And this year, they get to reap the benefits of their chemistry on the ice when they make their Olympic debut as partners. Bates told NBC, "Being a couple off the ice, I think the experience will be a lot more personal together."

These skiers from Team USA were lucky enough to find the same passion they have for the snow in each other. The pair expressed their excitement to go to the Olympics together, with Hendrickson posting a heartfelt to her Instagram. "We are BOTH going to #pyeongchang2018 I am beyond inspired to be in your life to push each other and support each other."

Love truly knows no boundaries, and this couple is a prime example. The bobsledders come from America and Germany, respectively, but that wasn't the only barrier to their love story—neither knew how to speak the other's language! When the two started dating in 2012, they had to use Google Translate to communicate. Eventually the couple married in 2014, but still had to navigate the world of long-distance relationships. Luckily, the 2018 Olympics gives them the chance to be together and do what they love at the same time!

Jamie Anderson and Tyler Nicholson

Team USA and Team Canada are not only bonded by their close proximity, but also their couples. Team USA's Anderson and Canada's Nicholson both compete in snowboarding at the Olympics, which helps them to "push and train with each other", Anderson told NBC.

Bobsled is life for this married couple. The two bobsledders met in 2011 and when they married in 2014, everything from their vows to their wedding were centered around their shared love for the sport. Elana speaks proudly of her husband, saying, "He serves as my best friend, teammate, coach, sports psych, mechanic, sounding board and everything in between."

While this Olympic couple has previously competed together in the Winter Olympics, unfortunately this time around Logan will be going solo when she competes in the half pipe and slope style ski competitions. Luckily, she will have her beau there to cheer her on in the stands this year.

This duo from Team USA remains partners on the ice despite their two-and-a-half year relationship ending in an "explosive" breakup. And while they wanted to keep their skating careers professional, they are actually dating other Olympian ice skaters, with the partners dating Team Spain's Adrian Diaz and Olivia Smart, respectively.
