Dancing With the Stars
As much as we love watching the celebrities either flop badly (Kate Gosselin) or totally rock (Jennifer Grey), it's also awesome to see the professional dancers become celebrities in their own right. The Hough siblings, Maks, Cheryl Burke, Chelsie Hightower, Lacey Schwimmer and more have all become household names.

American Bandstand
Dick Clark's got moves! Many of the dance crazes of the 1960s were popularized by the era's adorable tweens boogeying down on the Bandstand dance floor.
America's Best Dance Crew
This show, produced by American Idol judge Randy Jackson, launched such notable crews as season-one winners JabbaWockeeZ, who went on to star in ad campaigns for Pepsi and Gatorade and toured with New Kids on the Block.
Soul Train
Officially this was just a music show, but everybody knew that the Soul Train dancers were the ones to watch for the latest and hippest dance movies.
So You Think You Can Dance
Amazing SYTYCD contestants like season four's Katee Shean and Joshua Allen attract choreographers of Wade Robson's caliber. The dance-crazy producers also promote the terpsichorean arts by using the popular series as a showcase for dance acts from around the world.
Fame
The New York City public performing arts school in this 1980s TV series was apparently filled with students who loved dancing in the streets. Or, to quote celebrity choreographer Debbie Allen's immortal line from the credits sequence, "You've got big dreams? You want fame? Well, fame costs. And right here is where you start paying...in sweat."
